If you're to lazy to read yourself, I'll just tell you the important bits myself:

Under the terms of the 1930 London Naval TreatyWyoming was to be demilitarized and converted into a training ship. During the demilitarization process, her anti-torpedo bulges, side armor, and half of her main battery guns were removed. Wyoming was modernized at Norfolk Navy Yard from 12 January to 3 April 1944; the reconstruction removed the last of her three 12-inch gun turrets, and replaced them with four twin and two single enclosed mounts for 5"/38 caliber gunsNew fire control radars were also installed; these modifications allowed Wyoming to train anti-aircraft gunners with the most modern equipment they would use while in combat with the fleet. Modifications to Arkansas during World War II were kept to a minimum. In 1942, Arkansas received a new tripod foremast and bridgework, along with more anti-aircraft guns throughout the war. By 1945, she carried nine quadruple 40 mm Bofors mounts and twenty-eight 20 mm Oerlikonsand the number of 3 in guns had been increased to ten.

This tells us that they essentially turned it into an AA escort, and a CL/CA. Could this possibly be a replacement for the Cleveland once it is changed to the CA  (I believe so - Correct me if I'm wrong). Perhaps WG could take a look at this?

Firstly, Don't trust Wiki. Not like it's not good for references, but many detailed stuff are usually either missing or wrong completely.

And secondly, I proposed it to be the CBT reward - I got slammed for not being "Grateful" to get a Zero AA Arkansas.

Oh well, let them cash in on it then.

A pure AA battleship would be virtually unplayable, they live and die by how effective their large calibre AP rounds are, while the reason boats like the Atlanta and Cleveland work is because they have the manoeuvrability to always remain in distance of something.

That was the forum's brown nosing period, thankfully that's over as people are beginning to realise how incompetent WG is at actually managing things (ie blue liners).

WG wasn't obligated to reward us with any alpha or beta ship. Suggesting what you want for a CBT reward is pretty much spoiled behaviour. They didn't reward us with any ship for OBT, even though many were expecting it.

A ship will be classified as Light Cruiser (CL) if meet the requirements such as tonnage, main armament (for CL is probably less than 150mm), speed, etc.

A ship classified as Heavy Cruiser (CA) when main armament is 200mm.

If you are really thinking this will replaces the Cleveland, definitely not. Probably the gameplay of the 1944 modification to Wyoming will be radical after the tier 5 Omaha and after getting the tier 7 Pensacola.

There is a rumor plan for Cleveland, the rumor said that the tier 6 Cleveland will be placed on different tier of another cruiser line. This rumor info was like 2 months. :/
