Morning shipmates, couple of questions for you.

1.  Are the gun directors meant to train in the direction that the guns are pointing?

2.  What are the criteria for making it to level 8? I'm currently at 7.

3.  How do you tell if your main armament is DP (AA and surface, Atlanta) and how do you switch to that mode?

4.  How can you tell how much damage you are doing with your shells?

5.  How can you tell if a target is in range of your torpedo's?

I know , It's more than a couple of questions, but I've never been good at maths.

Thanks guys.

yup - turn on animate small objects to see it

2.  What are the criteria for making it to level 8? I'm currently at 7.

you earn xp as a player - if you hover over your name in game you'll see the xp bar and how far you have to go

3.  How do you tell if your main armament is DP (AA and surface, Atlanta) and how do you switch to that mode?

when looking at the stats in port, if the same gun is listed for both main armament and then again for AA then it's DP

4.  How can you tell how much damage you are doing with your shells?

the numbers come up over the target you hit

5.  How can you tell if a target is in range of your torpedo's?

outer range of your torps is the outside edge of the green circle/grey aim assist line

I know , It's more than a couple of questions, but I've never been good at maths.

Thanks guys.

With respect to question 4, I don't see that in the game. If I hit the Alt key I can see the ships health bar, but not the damage.

I think I know what you are talking about as I saw it in a Jingles replay, the damage done is visible over the ship in white and fades away.

Is there a setting maybe ?

settings, show alt information in battle I think it's called.

Hmm, can't find it in the settings area, have looked at all of the tabs but there doesn't appear to be a setting under that heading.
