Greater incentives for escorting ships - I just had a game in my New Orleans where I basically stuck to our teams tier 10 carrier the Hakuryu knowing that high tier CV captains always try to rush and sink all the opponents carriers early in the game. I managed to shoot down 17 and kept the bugger alive for as long as possible, even shielding him from BB and CL fire by shooting at them to distract them.

I got no acknowledgement from the CV player or anyone else, and I was the only one defending the carrier while the others rushed off to find glory (lack of etiquette not surprising for a online multi player game).

So even without the thanks, I do somehow think that at least shooting down aircraft (I know, not much skills involved) from a ship deserves more exp/credits at the very least, or most pubbies won't have immediate reason (common sense is often lacking) to act as a team and protect their capitol ships. I also think CV captians should really try to make an effort to stick to ships that do try to protect them rather then run off and get themselves killed before the escorts who are trying to help can reach their running poop decks :medal:

I hope there's more fancy harbor.

Just like picture above. When a ship is selected, the camera runs near it.

But other ships can also be seen in a distance, with less detail so it looks like a fleet.

Good on you for trying to be a team player. Most only try to get kills and don't protect team mates, but until clans are introduced and there is communication within the team, it's very difficult to work out a strategy.

Mind you the Clear skies or skies in flames (shoot down 20 planes) mission is a nice incentive which got me to go all out AA - but the mission is for both Carrier and other ships, so a wise guy may just hop into a carrier with a full fighter loadout

Agreed. There needs to be some reward for doing that. Maybe WG lack of reply means that there is some sort of game/programming mechanic that needs to be overcome.

Hmm it makes sense that CV should follow the BBs around to battle rather than staying back at the edge of the map to help but CV have to take the risk and hope not to die in early game

I agree about more XP for shooting down planes and maybe the sun position of the dock not in setting/rising position as it dulls one side of the ship in the dock. The camo colours look different on both sides due to the shadow effect of the sun in the background. It should be in mid-day at 12 o'clock so the whole ship has an even lighting. Nothing like a bright day to start the day.
