So I joined in brawls expecting a fast game, and I was not disappointed instead of t8 BBs 3 vs 3, I waited and waited and I got 12 vs 12 t8 BBs, and getting focused fired by 5 ships made me cream myself, oh the joy.

Hope you are all as pleasantly surprised as I was.

And somehow we won?

More surprises

It actually is. The amount of people who forget Hawke has torps are quite high:Smile_trollface:

I thought the brawl concept was between 3 and 5 ships, so it is a fast paced game. 12 vs 12 is a random match, with one class of ship is not a brawl, it is a matter of getting a match making with people who might challenge a cap and focus fire on a target. when there are 5 or 6 doing that and your side isn't then it is just carnage, and it is BS like this that people lose faith in the game, if random alone was enough. making Brawls like randoms is a Big FU to the community in my opinion.

I hope your experience is better than mine and I am in fact wrong.

Please let me be wrong

As long as such events do not count into performance statistics and can be used to grind something besides providing something new that's fine, not to say this event has synergy with the Dockyard stage (that require ribbons to be earned with battleships).

Time is precious, and people play some of these modes because they can have more fun, ie Coop, quick loading, and quick games with the opposition tries to take the objectives, Operations are next up and as many can tell this is really popular with the new patch.

I enjoy a challenge, I am not averse to hard work and putting the time in.

Long story short 1 battle is enough, I would rather take my t8 battleships in and play Operations and take my chances there. Good hunting and well played if you can complete all the Brawl missions!!

Proper brawl formats are 1 vs 1, 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3 and 4 vs 4. A 12 vs 12 brawl should be a big no-no.

You're not wrong. They should indeed have named it to something else. I also took Bismarck on the first battle & I got wrecked hard. This is what they should have called Grand Battle, as it is more or less the "Battle of Jutland on steroids".

However once I take it from a different perspective, I find it not that bad compared to Randoms. It is definitely not a Brawl, and cannot be played as that. It is not a Random, either, because it does not include the other ship types.

But it is one of few places that actually shows how comical the state of some "specific ships" are. German BBs in particular are not that durable as WG advertised them years ago. Even in the reworked Operations, they will melt quickly when more than one enemy ship sneezes at them. I think the next week will be for cruisers only, and then DD only after that. Both would be as hilarious, or bad if you prefer to call it.

In the end, it is just one of those "take it or leave it" products in the game. While I do not consider it bad, it is not the thing I hype about, either.

Brawls are perfect if you don't want to go play random but still want to play PVP games for high profit

Those missions' rewards are just extra bonuses for me, never wanted to grind all of them out at the very start.

I like this format, because it is a bit like a Jutland slugfest.

I wished I played more of the tier 6 version, I'm definitely going to play the tier 8 a bit. Just a shame that Ocean isn't on the list this time.

Such a fast way to get the wins, the large number of ships in the brawl means it's over nearly always by one side going to zero points.

Oh really? That was what I thought too. Just wanted to get one win for the 750k credits. 13 games later I finally got it :Smile_facepalm:

Probably the best way to think about these 12 vs 12 'brawls': just play 1 or 2 battles a day for a little variation but don't focus on finishing all the missions.

My experience too in these 12 vs 12 'brawls': one defeat after an other.

Maybe try a different time range to play

What I see happening *a lot* is that a Tirpitz, Brandenburg, Zieten or sometimes a Hawke rushes forward towards the red ships to torpedo one of them and becomes the object of focused fire and dies in 2-3 minutes without dealing much damage. I understand their eagerness to use their most devastating weapon, I have often made the same mistake, but you can't do this trick that works so well in co-op, with human players as your opponents. In one brawl a Zieten, played by a silver leaguer I occasionally encounter in co-op, tried to torpedo my Richelieu. I engaged the engine boost and went straight for the Zieten. We both died.

Brawl and what manifest is a whole loads of players camping all way way back , both side , just trying to snipe , farm from as far as possible , should this even surprise , whoever dream up this 12 Vs 12 T8 clearly had little sense how the game plays today ..

If it's 12 Vs 12 at T3/4 it might actually work , or if it's T8 but kept 5 Vs 5 it might also work but combine the 12 Vs 12 and T8 BB .. HMMMM ......

That happens too, unfortunately. My team could have won a few of the brawls, I was in a few hours earlier, if some of our team mates had actually supported us instead of hiding behind an island. I don't think some of the players come to actually have a brawl, I think they are more focused on grinding (nothing wrong with it, I am grinding the Richelieu, but winning the brawl is more important than earning XP).
