Yes. And that makes it all the more brave to cap in a Balansgrad when a Thunderer has way less concealment and is more suited.

Ah .. did it take so long for you to note that ... surprised here , really , might be for those who really play BB / CB and accustomed to get spotted way out , but for any who play just the normal Cruisers , DD this is nothing new , it had been so and gradually fading more into the game with every new branch of BB / Cruisers

True but both of them , pretty much all the time am seeing one in game, just CAMP and put themselves way back, way out and where they effectively unable to do much other than snipe and farm their own , not helping the team and not helping the teammates

Not in a DD, you outspot them all the same so trouble is minimal. It is when I'm in the Mino, and keep finding every new ship being able to get dangerously close. I've been remembering every one of those ship's concealment values, so I knew it was a thing, but it took some frustrations before I started looking for an answer, which I already had apparently.

you know that is why I say normal Cruisers in the original reply .. I keep saying this, sure as a DD main I do not like that, but those who really are hurt ( more ) are those who pilot just the NORMAL cruisers CA / CL

Ok I partially misunderstood your first post.

Although considering most "normal" CAs with 203mm have been used to being outspotted anyways, they can probably get by. I did notice their sharp drop in presence, besides for Venezia tho.

It is the CLs where it is becoming problematic due to massive overmatch and lack of spotting difference. It is turning into a case where CVs are actually beneficial for CLs by preventing ambushes and keeping them spotted so you can farm them at long distance.

Concealment has been devalued by constant plane spotting.

So it's not so surprising that WG is handing it out like candy to new ships.

For the same reason, "ninja" Zao got a 10% hp buff just to bring it up to competitive, as having best in class* concealment just isn't what it used to be.

*Tulsa is also ~9.6 I believe.

FTFY.

Part of the problem is how the rocks also interfere with the spotting mechanism. If you add these two things together, you can get to enjoy the experience of facing an entire fleet drop out of 'hyperspace' half way into your concealment range. Try getting out of that mess...

Yet all of them have pretty big air detection, which seems fitting considering their size. It is only surface detection thats been getting unusually small, which is where it still matters most.

The superships demonstrate this really well. All the current ones are a continuation of the older lines, yet their air detection just explodes while surface concealment can be unchanged.

This.

Subs also detect ships based on their air detection values at periscope depth, so being easily air spotted is also being easily sub spotted.
