My first Narai run of the week.

Pugging it.

Only one BB.

He does everything right.

Like, almost perfect.

He engages Missy, protects transports and tanks into endgame like a pro.

Two other pugs die early and pointlessly.

I have to go kill the CV late game after both the CA and the DD who first went for them are killed with no effect.

I watch the BB carry the team from afar as I race back to try to help endgame.

His damage control and mitigation is perfect.

He lasts a long time in trying circumstances and I am impressed.

I say so in chat.

I upvote him.

He swears at me and I receive a downvote at end of game.

Apparently some people are so used to criticism that they just cannot interpret positive reinforcement as anything other than more criticism.

He also could have just been swearing at the team in general and reporting everyone because his back hurt.

There are also a lot of people out there who will just go blanket “trash team” when only 2/3 of the team are trash. But the person will ignore the 1/3 which are good and trying (which also include themselves).

The karma system is totally broken and this is just another example.

Just had a game where an idiot noob DD player decided to shoot me for no reason. I did not react or shoot back but I reported him for unsporting behaviour. So he reports me for reporting him. There is absolutely no use for karma in the game and is in fact the opposite where it is simply and frequently abused by morons in the game. Strangely enough, these morons tend to inhabit the co-op game modes the most. Not saying that all co-op players are bad, just that the worst player demographic tends to go play co-op.

Based on my experiences on randoms, if someone give you a message "Well done, commander!" especially if your IGN on it, that could be: a) someone is praising you. or b) someone is cursing you. The latter is the most common.
