Changes to Superships, San Diego, and Submarines — Closed Test 0.11.3

 

We adjusted the parameters of some ships based on testing results. The changes will be applied Edgar, United States, San Diego, Salmon, and Balao.

Tier  / Tier XI Edgar, British Super Cruiser:

  • Alternative fire mode reload time in increased from 30 sec to 35 sec.

 

Tier  / Tier XI United States, American Super Carrier:

  • Slightly increased the altitude of attack aircraft squadrons when aiming and firing.
    • This change will not affect gameplay.
  • Deck armor thickness increased from 25 mm to 38 mm.
  • Detectability by sea reduced from 17.8 km to 16 km.
  • Detectability by air reduced from 15.5 km to 14.5 km.
  • Changes to Tactical Torpedo Squadron:
    • Maximum torpedo damage reduced from 13,733 to 8,200.
    • Number of aircraft in a squadron increased from 2 aircrafts to 3 aircrafts.
    • Aircraft preparation time reduced from 240 sec to 150 sec.
    • Damage reduction applied to the attacking flight during an attack run reduced from --50% to --30%.

 

 

Tier VIII Salmon, American Submarine:

  • Conventional torpedoes speed increased from 60 kt to 65 kt.
  • Conventional torpedoes range increased from 7 km to 9 km.
  • Conventional torpedoes arming time reduced from 5 sec to 4.6 sec.

 

Tier X Balao, American Submarine:

  • Conventional torpedoes speed increased from 64 kt to 69 kt.
  • Conventional torpedoes range increased from 7.5 km to 10 km.
  • Conventional torpedoes arming time reduced from 5 sec to 4.6 sec.

 

 

Tier VIII San Diego, American Cruiser:

  • Main battery reload time reduced from 8.5 sec to 5 sec.
  • SAP shells damage reduced from 2,700 to 2,400.
  • HE shells now replaced with AP shells, with the following characteristics:
    • Maximum AP shell damage: 2,100.
    • AP initial velocity: 792 m/s.
  • Changed Main Battery Reload Booster consumable:
    • There is now a limited number of charges.
      • Number of Charges: 2.
    • Cooldown time increased from 145 sec to 180 ssec.
    • Action time reduced from 25 sec to 15 sec.
  • Changed Defensive AA Fire consumable:
    • Damage bonus increased from +50% to +100%.
    • Cooldown time reduced from 80 sec to 60 sec.
    • Action time reduced from 40 sec to 30 sec.
  • Adding Repair Party consumable, with the following characteristics:
    • Action time: 28 sec.
    • Cooldown time: 80 sec.
    • Number of charges: 3.
    • HP healed per second: 139 HP/s.
    • Citadel damage recovery: 50%.

These changes will not alter the concept of the ship as a simplified version of Austin, but instead make it easier to fill this role.

Yeah, I knew she'll probably get repair party at the very beginning......

It seems that the protest in NA forum had worked well, WG finally made her a less gimmicky ship by significantly buffing her DPM and cutting down her MBRB gimmick.

Needed to happen. The United States was way too much of a glass cannon.

Too vulnerable to BB snipes while having disgustingly OP damage on the tactical torpedo squadrons.

Seriously the damage on those torps feels stronger than even the RTS CVs. 1 squadron is nearly enough to one-shot a Tier 10 BB if all 4 torps hit...

US can 1 shoot DD, already tried once when DD is in smoke lol

about San Diego i think her stats more than enough for HER to be "Watashi wa Numba 1" on same tier or when she become top tier....
although the AA stats still bit questionable when facing T10... IMHO
