How good was Harpoon?  US CV fleets were so OP - trying to get through Tomcat CAP was a nightmare.

I miss it. You could get through the Tomcat CAP by using the AA Backfires first to take them out at range. Then followed by the long ranged landbased bomber supersonic cruise missile strikes on the carrier. And toss in the SS-N-19 Shipwrecks from your red surface fleet/SSBNs to overwhelm the AA/CWIS. That said, the US fleet had more firepower overall as you could reload planes but not ships. And GUESS WHO HAS THE CARRIER ADVANTAGE? Plus the better fighters.

ON THE OTHER HAND... if you could sneak in your SSBNs under the ASW, you could smack the US CV fleet. 

Ah... I miss it dearly... PROPER CV management unless some crappy iteration in certain games.

- ability to drop sea mine to float.... damaging anything above the sub or anything that try to drop depth charge

- depth charge decoy consummable....

- magnetic torpedo... homing when there is nearby 2km of enemy ship
