Problem since Day 1 and has been repeatedly highlighted but there is a refusal to implement a better skill-based MM. Honestly, with all the missteps weegee have been doing since 2018, the best thing is to stop spending and stop encouraging people to play the game. Right. So THE OTHER GUY sucks at teamwork and you live by that motto. How much teamwork do you really put in or are you one of these that chases a win or your own points over helping some guy out. If that means I have to help someone that needs help, that's what I'm doing. If it means I have to sacrifice myself to kill something important, so be it. If it means I just cruise around spotting for half a battle, well damn, my damage is going to suck in this battle. Problem is, the majority are too uninformed to know when they need help, they're too dumb to position themselves where they can be helped, and they'd rather survive and lose than die and win. Fk that, I'm doing whatever I can to get a win.. Sometimes I fail, sometimes I don't, sometimes the team is beyond help and sometimes it doesn't matter what I do, they're going to win or lose regardless. At least you know then the people playing in your skill tier have a similar level of skill to you. But people are too blind and keep saying no. So we live with the terrible consequences. Every steamroll battle I'm in, win or lose, I go through both teams stats and it's normal to have one team with an average w/r of 48% vs a team with a 55% average. Now how often do we see battles that are actually close? Maybe 2 in 10? I'm not keeping the data because no one seems to care but it's pretty obvious from the last couple of months of looking at the data that the teams are stacked. Depends on the situation really. Battleships? For sure. But I’ve seen great players go on suicidal runs or radar runs to try and get their team ahead. Småland players do it relatively frequently. I'll never do a suicide run to get the 'team ahead' on this server, unless it's time or point critical that I do. I can't count the number of times I've stuck my neck out and got the team ahead and they just kind of fumble around and show the lack of any sort of ability to sieze any initiative or opportunity that is presented to them. Now that I understand that randoms on this server are basically 1 vs 23, (12 enemy, 11 unknowns that try and help the enemy win) I'm a lot more careful with my own HP, basically unless I know a player is good I'm worth more than him. Edit - these people couldn't be trusted with torpedoes, WG took the team damage away because of it, so I'm not trusting them to do anything remotely close to being more useful than a bot. Honestly that one just seems like unfortunate matchmaking. Looking at the clans and positions of the enemy division, it just seems like they quite simply overpowered your team by quite the distance. Your Lexington did surprisingly well for an VIII carrier in an X match but the Slava… did he try and push alone or something? You can basically assume Slava players are good so I’m wondering what happened there. The enemy Stalingrad and Fletcher are most likely competitively players, and they’ve got a Yamato in their division as well, implying he is also a good player. The A division was clearly effective as well, with a Chapayev taking top place (especially in an X match). I don’t think your team was especially bad that time.
