PT 0.10.3, Balance Changes

The changes will be applied to Thunderer, Stalingrad, Italian battleships and test ships.

 

We've changed the characteristics of several ships, including special ships Thunderer and Stalingrad, having analyzed their combat performance and taken player feedback into account. Such changes were required in order to carefully adjust the balance of selected warships. We'll monitor the impact of the changes and general balance of ships, as usual we'll apply changes if deemed necessary.

X Thunderer

  • Main battery firing range reduced from 24.3 to 23 km.

 

X Stalingrad

  • Action time of the Surveillance Radar consumable reduced from 30 to 25 s.

 

IV Dante Alighieri

  • Sigma parameter reduced from 1.6 to 1.5;

 

V Conte di Cavour

  • Main battery reload time reduced from 33 to 31.5 s.

 

VI Andrea Doria

  • Maximum SAP shells damage increased from 9100 to 9500.

We adjusted the parameters of some ships based on testing results.

 

VIII Tiger '59

  • Changed the parameters of Repair party consumable:
    • Restoration of hit points, after receiving damage to the citadel, increased from 10% to 50%;
    • The restoration of the non-citadel damage increased from 50% to 60%;
  • Main battery dispersion increased.

 

VII Weimar

  • Added Spotting aircraft consumable :
    • Action time of consumable 60 s.
    • Reload time 240 s.
    • Number of consumables 4;
    • Main battery firing range bonus is 30%.

 

VII Hyūga

  • Reload time of Main Battery Reload Booster consumable increased from 30 to 60 s.

 

X Druid

  • Main battery reload time increased from 1.7 to 1.8 s.
  • Main battery firing range decreased from 14.1 to 12.1 km.
  • Maximum AP shell damage decreased from 2350 to 2200;

 

X Napoli

  • Secondary battery reload time reduced from:
    • 90mm shells from 4 to 3.5 s.
    • 152mm shells from 10 to 8 s.
  • Aft-end armor belt slopes thickness increased from 20 to 30 mm.
  • Fore- and aft-end armor plating reduced from 30 to 25 mm.

 

VI Ise

  • Aircraft restoration time reduced from 180 to 120 s.
  • Size of attacking flight increased from 3 to 4.
  • Aircraft per squadron increased from 3 to 4.

Well that's a precedent!  :Smile_ohmy:

They always said that special ships were open to nerfs, but this is the first time they've actually done it.  I can see why they started with Thunderer in particular, there's unlikely to be an outcry about nerfing her range.  Next time they go to nerf a special ship though, it may not be so popular, but of course the precedent will have already been set, so that will halve any potential negativity from the player base.  A smart option.

Yes they nerfed her main gun range for this.

Not only this, but I think WG will do the nerfing little by little on a step by step basis.

This way, most players will see them as a minor or small nerf and not a major or big one time nerf.

Honestly, I was expecting this, not specifically these buffs/nerfs but these ships like this.

Thunderer just need more nerf ... It's just that simple . Talk about needing and buffing of items, skills , mechanics in game .. for fair play and balance changes are almost always needed. Long time gamer accept and expect that . I find it satirical and over ego hyped when today's younger newer gamer accept. such thing as that of no merging / buffing for any particular only cause it's certain certain so.

Napoli, well 406 and its still a CRUISER , just talk to Austin , may be ... are we suppose to had DD that had 220mm Soviet rail guns , or might be WG planning  to introduce the mighty 800mm Schwerer Gustav onto the next BIG GUN BB , it would had the mighty power to one shoot any ship in the game with a range that reach out to any part of the map from any other part of the map but with an atrociously slow reload of 300 sec ; for an optional light package the said ship will be allowed to mount the optional module that take on the 600mm Karl-Gerät with a much improved reload of 200 sec but with reduced range and furnished with a trajectory that can easily allow behind the island sniping

Thank you guys for your feedback on PT 0.10.3.

I am curious how you feel about the SAP damage increase on Andrea Doria. This change surprised me a little bit. Although, it's certainly not unwelcome. I really loved the Italian BBs.

Adding the different torps was pointless from the beginning. If the ships are advertised as gunboats, BUFF the main guns and survivability. Why even touch the torpedoes so they can nerf what matters more? What this is, is utter bollocks.

T9 outperforms T10 because T10 got nerfed for no reason. Nerf T9 instead.

The problem I have of this nerf is: they nerfed what matter (main guns), and added/"buffed" what don't (torpedoes).

This isn't (just) anti-German, this is BS level of balancing.

We all know how their balancing is just BS (Balance Sheet - financial) and reading spreadshits rather than taking into account actual game play.
