Star System for obtaining Emblems.

Can someone please, explain how the star system works towards obtaining and emblem.  

The reason I ask this is because at the start of this bronze rank season, I had 26 stars and only need to get 4 more to get the emblem.  

I started at rank 10 and now currently at rank 5.  I expected to get more starts when I got to rank 6 and got the 2 stars there to rank 5 However I received no stars.

So if someone could explain how the star system works to get emblems would much appreciated.

So are you suggesting the emblem star counter does not tick when you receive a star? Were you at Rank 5 when you had 26 stars and needed 4 more?

If I have not mistaken, receiving a lost star does not count towards the counter, i.e. If you started from Rank 10 with zero stars and you received 5 stars, lost three, then received four, it counts as six stars.

If you had 26 stars at Rank 10, progressed to Rank 5 and did not receive the emblem, this might be a bug.

If you had 26 stars at Rank 5, then you need to progress to Rank 3 by winning four more stars to receive the emblem.

I Started the new season with 26 Stars, and started at rank 10, worked my way to Rank 5 and got the first star in rank 5.

I lost the first star in Rank 5.   My understanding, is that for each win, for each rank you get a star.  However, if there two star in a rank, you one

get a star for the first star in the rank.  If you get a star for a rank, and lose that star, and then win it back, the first time you got the star for that rank is 

counted only.  And not the one where you win it back again.  So believe I should have at least 27 stars, 26 star ending the last season, plus the 1 star for rank 5. 

So I am not sure whether its worth playing rank battles anymore.
