The topic is now locked due to a violation of "Flexing your stats" which is derailed thanks to a certain person who competes stats with others. I don't want to know the person who got violated but here we are:

Don’t just love how the mods show up days late and lock the thread long after the focus has shifted to something else?

I know they’re busy and can’t watch these things 24/7, but in the fast moving environment of the forums, You’ve got to jump on these things immediately so that people know what the6 did wrong. Otherwise, it’s pretty pointless, and you’re still punishing most rules following people for the actions of one.

That said, It could be argued that the point of the thread was long passed. It was derailed several times already, and more about seeing how long you could keep it going.

I believe that another week and people would have forgotten about it anyway.

So yeah. Shutting the gate after the horse has bolted.

Yes. One of us is better suited to be a mod since we are more active around here and we got our information networks. Frankly, it should have been nipped earlier and it's been like... a week later and only then the action has been taken.

I'm glad Syanda got transferred to EU but he/She got really stressed whats happening how Reeeetaaaaddd EU is.

 

 

NA is full Toxic. They dont have good moderators there as well.

If forums are shyte, that's not the fault of the mods.

A crappy community makes a crappy forum...people should look at themselves before laying blame..

It wasn't me.....

I think the trigger was from dieselhead's last post in which of course broke the forum rules. Although for some odd reasons, @Ryuuoh_DeltaPlus became the collateral damage.

And of course, who doesn't like turtles?

OK just to clarify a few things also noting I'm not a mod.

Mods are people with lives and hobbies, often they don't even play the game much anymore but continue to devote their time to keeping this place running, because without them this place likely gets turned off.

Having said that, if my understanding is correct, because of the way the forum quoting system works; they have to mod each individual post and quote.

That's a lot of work. I know I don't have time for it, and look how often I post...

As for the post in question it could have been a range of things but most likely it was the use of a couple of strong words with a lot of serious meaning behind them. Some people took offence to that use or thought they were being attacked and used any excuse to target people they were unhappy with.

No fault of the mods, they merely follow the rules. And keep in mind calling CVs or ships a certain disease is a moderated offence.

Considering that is the case, it's not hard to see why the thread was locked.

 

But while we're at it, kudos to the regulars... You're all legends and dispite all our varied opinions none of us would stand for nonsense, so that's a plus.

And thanks to the mods, it's a thankless task.
