200 short of 4k : Italian BB mission

After finishing all the missions I'm projecting 3800 or thereabouts, just shy of being able to obtain the T8 permacamo.

I assume this is by design? Or is there some other way (besides the recruitment referral) to get a few more tokens without paying doubloons?

I assume that you also have completed all 4 bonus code combat missions. Where WG gives to players every week during the streams.

Otherwise, it is by design.

WG = Whale Gaming. Gotta whale them all.

 

I misread, I thought it was Vittorio ship. It's Vittorio camo.

The 4 week combat missions without the 4 bonus code is enough to get the T8 camo.

That said, WG did put a high bar / requirement on some of the combat missions.

Pay 1500 for 600 Tokens.

Not by design, but 200 sounds like you missed random daily tokens (there were 4x 50 tokens in that) or spent something on a purchase other than that package line. It was a large click box at the bottom of the Italian tab in the armory.

 

Without spending doubloons i got the t8 camo neat.

Edit: looking around ingame looks like you need that steam code (if it still works)  recruitment tokens or doubloons to finish it off. TBH, unless you have an easy way to get them or you are a collecting for the italians (in which case you're gonna have a bad time trying to get tokens for the 9-10 stuff without $$$) i'd just rack up the camos and credits.

 

If you split it down the middle that's 50 matches with double xp on any ship you want +a touch over 4mill credits, pretty decent.

Yeah, I didn't pick up the steam codes. I don't have enough interest in BBs to bother spending 1500 doubloons for an (ugly imo) skin, so I guess I'll have to blow the 3800 tokens on camos. (credits are of no use, I have 450 million stashed already)

Happy to get the T7 ship with (slightly less ugly) permacamo, though personally I think the T6, Andrea Doria, is the prettiest looking model. If I am going to spend doubloons for a permacamo, I'd prefer to spend 1000 and get one for the T6.

Francesco Caracciolo. Turrets are ridiculously oversized for the hull.

I would like to argue that maybe larger turrets have to be adopted to accommodate newer 381mm/50 Ansaldo 1934 rather than the originally purposed 381mm/40 which design principle resemble USN naval guns in 1930s: heavy shells with lower velocity.

Also I got the Veneto permacamo for free without Stream missions (which I missed due to some constant DNS issues that blocked my access to WG websites). I completed a personal combat mission chain in the first weekend (it is said that the chain differs from person to person judging from how active one is before) that gave me 1600 tokens.
