clearly, it was WG who sent a virus into my computer through microwaves targeted at my brain in revenge for the shitposting against them and their Christmas crates

they failed to silence me due to my tinfoil hat, but my poor computer was caught in the crossfire

this is why you always should keep your hats on boys

and also, anyone have recommendations for a laptop around 800$ ish?

A series of drakonation today. :Smile_ohmy:

Somebody forgot to mount flags again.

Jokes aside, Huawei laptops seems to be in the affordable range.

But I do recommend ASUS laptops, as they have been the most resilient laptop I have used since 2005.

ASUS X57x series should be in your budget range. GPU might vary, but most are in the GTX 10xx series range.

If you can add another 50 to 100$ you can get an ASUS TUF laptop. Model FX50x series.

Looking at it on a different country so price may be higher or lower, but you have a base make and model that you can compare prices.

Sad to hear your computer got drakonated.

Good luck on your hunt for your new laptop.

For just playing WoWs, Laptop with Ryzen 5 3550H would be decent.

I have asus Tuf Fx505 DT 8+8 GB with GTX 1650 4gb and SSD 256 for around less Rp11.000.000 now. Not to mention 120 refresh rate monitor. All this God damn feature is cheaper than build a PC. Also laugh in electric bill....

The only drawback, its feel like PC. You are not mobile because the battery is extremely weak and need always plug in.

Want more cheaper option? Got HP laptop with Ryzen 3550H, too bad no 120 monitor.

I thought nyou live in Indonesia?

Also screw with Intel, join the dark side

Edit : i am poor, i know buying this laptop is damn cheaper than having a PC. If you guys have better suggestion go ahead

Nooooooooo

I would always avoid Huawei and Lenovo...

Not because of any 'security' nonsense, although I understand that concern but simply because screw CCP and their bs trade practices...

No offence to China/Chinese people but CCP is being a complete arse to about 10 major trading partners and neighbours at the moment so I boycott as many of their products as possible.

It's not much but it's about all I can do.

I really hope we can all band together because they're bullying everyone and that's just not on.

They don't put 200% tariffs on product types just because we make a domestic decision they don't like...

no comment on our foreign policy but for the right now stock R7000s are the best bang for buck laptops floating around, and I'm too poor to consider stuff like boycotting stuff when i barely got enough to buy even this one

I 100% understand... There have been many times when I couldn't afford to 'vote with my wallet' so to speak.

Hopefully your laptop works a treat!

Based on the rough specs there should be fine for max settings and a nice 75fps as long as you don't have too much running in the background...

not sure if you've checked but with budget laptops watch out for the number of USB ports (or USB3 as it may be)

Often they'll skimp on them...

i'll be fine with the docks, i have a dongle since my current laptop literally only has 1 fully functioning USB port right now

Thanks to Ryzen now gaming laptop price is become competitive. Otherwise we will stuck at $1000

When buying gaming laptop, you just need to be keen of Spec and price.

I am choosing laptop since i am poor and electrical bill will kill me if i bought gaming PC.
