So WG. You have announced on the forums of a refund for Santa crates.

The forums are only a small portion of the gaming customers on WOW's. The advertisement in the armory/prem shop are unchanged with no new information regarding the true way Christmas loot boxes function. You know, the information that was left out because it was "too lengthy for the advertisement".

On the one hand the crates are still being sold to the uninformed customer base. While on the other hand the informed customer base are having their money refunded.

Anyone spot what's wrong with this picture??? Anyone at all???

The uninformed should become informed.

It's not hard to look up information on this game, and what are the current events in play.

If they choose to be uninformed, that's their fault, not WG's.....

It's not up to WG to correctly inform customers of their product.

Riiiiiiight  *facepalm*

*LtDan, your email has just exploded with job offers from WG*

They already have.

I'm sure that they will update all other interfaces.

It's just that the most outrage was founded on the forums (and reddit/discord).

WG updated those first......

Imbalance of responsibility that you're assigning here.

WeeGee not responsible for trying to scam customers with dishonest messaging they broadcast on every channel they have available.

Scammed customers responsible for hunting down the admission WeeGee made in order to see what recourse they have.

What you're saying is players are responsible for their naivety but WG not responsible for its disingenuity.

Poor form.

Yes.

Players are responsible for being uninformed.

WG is not responsible for them not trying to source information......

Just to make you repeat this, Wargaming should take zero responsibility for dishonest marketing they admitted to ?

Dishonest marketing is one thing, being uninformed is something else.

Don't mix them up....

And given that Wargaming has admitted to the former in this event, you feel they aren't to blame here ?

The supposed naivety of the mark makes the scam morally okay ?

And its not even naivety, no one did anything except read WeeGee's marketing as they communicated it. That's not being uninformed, that's being lied to.

Of course they are to blame. I didn't say they were not.

And this is why they have offered a refund to players.

I'm just stating that some players will not see this offer of a refund, as they are either oblivious to the forums or are not interested in finding out about the information, and where it is posted.

I do hope that WG does post this refund offer on all it's interfaces, so that all players can take it up if they want to.

Wg really should post it onto the game portal the WG centre they forced us to switch to, so "we could be better informed".

Bang on Davey...

Also based on their wording in the forum/reddit post I see no indication they're actually going to do something about it.

If they were going to do something that would get approval, they'd be the first to tell you...

The ball was already dropped during the PR fiasco.

And it was already slipping before that.

No update, no new description, Loot boxes still for sale without even a notice on servers about gating system. Tick tock the refund time is running out. WG back to Scamming business as usual.....
