Changing Port Causes a Critical Error

I can't change from the (horrendously ugly) default port without the program suffering a (fatal) criticial error.

ALso, the sporadic post-battle crashes that started with this patch have got worse with the latest iterative patch. Could someone actually do some release unit testing before shipping the code? I'm a professional s/w developer and this is just downright amateurish.
