Belfast 43 performance is excessively low

WG, you must improve the overall performance of Belfast 1943, the current ship, in terms of rate of fire, radar range, and repair team (none at all) is completely behind all the other class 8 gold ships! Not even as good as her sister ship, Edinburgh! Have you really experimented with this ship yourselves??

They did experiment with a better version before, and you know how well that end.

On a more serious note, she seems to be a solid ship, balanced but not having enough identity to justify her status as "premium" ship. This is on "Balanced yet Boring" part of the scale on WG's recent ships introduction.

I think it would be better for her as the Tier VII, swapping places with Belfast 1950s.

I remember people whingeing about Belfast a couple of years ago wanting it nerfed...  "ahh its OP OP OP !!!" "Too strong" "payfast" "cheat ship"...  The nerf club wanted it nerfed, everybody whingeing....

If Belfast 43 is not to your liking, nobody is forcing you to buy. There are other ships for you to select.

This is why I'm always skeptical about ship that only sells out because of their names. Some people will buy these ships without reading their specs.

No no you don't. Belfast is overrated, end of story. Had the fundraising attempt ended in failure, she would have been scrapped too. I mean had the British not falling into bankruptcy, they could have preserved King George V, or even Warspite (although she would cost a heck lot more to repair).

Now excuse me, I'm gonna ask for WG to make Prince of Wales..... Or Repulse... Or Sheffield.... Or Swiftsure... or anything else that should have been in the game.

Agreed, Belfast is overrated. Her noteworthy action is being blown by a mine then spent most of her career in drydock. Cheap ass arctic convoy escort with minor part on Battle of North Cape. It should've been Sheffield that be saved for museum, as she has richer story to tell. 

But then again, the Royal Navy's state at that time is so pitiful. Even Victory, the symbol of Nelson and Britannia, is rotting.

And what would be the selling point for Prince of Wales? Down tiered KGV with weak AA?

Yes!! My love of the Royal Navy in world War I and World War II is second only to the people's Navy today. Especially Belfast! As you said, “Best Maid means Best ship ever!” . But WG's Belfast 1943 was so poorly integrated that her sister Edinburgh really couldn't match it. WG calls it "characteristic"

I mean look, out of all ships that participated in the Battle of Denmark Strait, she is the only one that has yet to exist in this game. And of course you can't claim yourself to be a Eugen lover without pairing her with that Yuri blonde islander.

Ship is balanced. Played 1 match and did not find it bad like some people claim it is.

Will my opinion change with more games? Probably.

Belfast 43 does look pretty bad.  She's straight up worse than Belfast in most respects.  The HE dpm for the T7 version is 20% more than the T8 version!  The T8 has fewer charges of consumables, far worse smoke (the RN DD smoke is great on DD's, but terrible on slow reload cruisers), much worse handling, and although she has torpedoes, they are only 8km with three per side, so next to useless for the type of ship she is.  The only thing the T8 has going for it over the T7 is 8% more health and slightly longer radar/hydro ranges.

Now I know the T7 is known for being OP, but I think the game has moved on to the point where she really isn't.  I have never thought T7 Belfast was particularly amazing, because although strong, she is easy to play against.  In a BB, she is easy to blap in smoke, and in a DD, she has a fairly small area of control with only an 8.5km radar and 4km hydro.  It's very easy to play around these limited ranges.  I think a Belfast is really only effective against bad players (obviously there are plenty of those, so her stats are good, plus she is only owned by very experienced players), which means that for any competent player she is of next to no concern.

Now I don't like playing cruisers at all, so I wouldn't get her, but if I did like cruisers there is a long list of T8 cruisers I'd rather take out than Belfast 43, and if I particularly liked RN CL's, I'd much rather sail any of the tech tree line.

Actually Moggy, some of us potatoes got Belfast in Xmas crates. Far, far, from experienced players. 

But, that said, I have used her occasionally in random battles and had some slight success in her.
