I was the upper team and I spawned at A5 and Thunderer, Alaska B, and Izumo spawned at BC123 and they decided to attack C.I went behind the island at C4 and tried to support D.

We did take out C and D but I got spotted by the enemies on the left side (column 1 and 2).I get sunk by three enemy ships as I don't have any support..

I understand that I should move my position since they captured C and D but my position would be a great position to attack B but no one try to do so.

I don't know how we lost but I still received two reports on me.

Sadly, even if you are winning or losing, when playing CV:

Your allies will report you if you lose.
Your enemy will report you if you win.

:Smile_sad:

I do not discourage playing CV, but there will always be anti-CV players in the game.

No matter what server / region you play.

yeah that's the problem isnt it, you only survived for 8 minutes, if you paid attention the mini-map then you wouldn't have a issue of having not done anything and the team reporting you

I don't mean that you cant play CV, but you should know by now that CVs are a very hated class and no matter how well you play there will always be that one salty ass who reports you on the enemy team

We got C and D and many of my teammates are still in the back.

Though the enemies decided to push A by not capturing A

Ever think about that I may still get reported if I didn't support them in time?

You should be able to determine the general movement of the enemy team based on the last known position of enemy ships.

As a CV you should have the best map awareness out of anybody in the team, so you should have anticipated the enemy pushing up A since there was no resistance from your team. Plus you could always fly a squadron over just to get some quick scouting information.

If A is exposed while C and D is under your team's control then you should reposition. Always follow your team and don't camp at one spot. You are a CV, not an immobile land base.

I did tried to reposition but I got stuck by that gigantic Midway's ass.

BTW lesson learned

-predict enemy's movements

-scout for myself first

-be aware to teammates' movements

Noted and thx

Playing cv you got lots of free time, because most of the time will be spent looking for target. Than actualy evade and attacking.

They gib litteraly bird eye view, so you have superior situational awerness. Lol

You were playing CV, of course you got reported. Plus you made some pretty major errors and died early.

Don't be upset about the reports, they are meaningless, and it doesn't matter how well or badly you do in a CV your karma is on its inevitable way to zero.

You do need to learn the lessons of your mistakes here. You spend half your time in a CV looking at the minimap, so keep an eye on your position. You need to recognise early that it's time to move. In this case your flank was abandoned by your team, and you were the only one left there - there was only one possible outcome at that point, and that is your ship being destroyed.

^ this TBH

it dosnt matter how many times you get reported if you play CVs, you're going to get reported anyways no matter how well you play, the big difference is if you play well then your teammates are less likely to report and to compliment you instead

As a CV, getting spotted and being shot to dead is mostly your own fault. You have planes, you have to most spotting ability among your teammates, you should spot first to get information about enemy DD location, enemy movement,... If your team has less ships in one flank, it is most likely that enemy will try to push this flank and you gotta move in advance.

I saw many CV player set their ship at "kiting position" early on (which mean butt on, instead of bow on) and slowly reverse back. By this way if his flank is being pushed, he can slowly kiting or max speed running away without having to turn boardside. If his flank is winning, he can keep reversing back to stay closer to the battlefield for more frequent air support for team.

Never heard that before. And it's not suitable for midway.Maybe I'll try that when I get another T10 CV

The point is you are not about to "tank" with this tactic, but narrow down your profile and mitigate income damage to survive and run when spotted (sometime, to attract enemy's attention for a short period of time to save your allies who are under heavy fire). I know Cv's hull is squishy but they do have armored deck , so by completely butt on, most of incoming shell at long range will land on your deck and do zero damage.

what do you mean it;s not suitable for midway, it's a common survival strat across ALL the CVs, no matter what nation or tier

my suggestion after meeting you in game just now, is to go back to mid tiers and work on your basics of target selection and dropping before even thinking about playing this thing again, your drops were horrible and your plane selection was even worse

1) Playing CV? Check
2) Dieded due to lack of awareness (8 minutes)? Check
3) Claim to understand you should have moved but not wanting to cause mY pOsItioN HeRe iS AdVanTagEouS? Check
Ah crap, running out of ideas, they are all already said above.

And purpose of this thread being? Tell others you got reported? Trust me, we all here got reported. I treat it as a compliment for what I do to get reported.

Uhhhhh, maybe your lack of knowledge/understanding on how to CV? Maybe your lack of understanding in general?
Have you considered trying to reflect on yourself to why you might have lost? Nah, don't pull the "My team did not support me" reasoning. The first mistake players do is thinking there is a "team" and the "team" would support.

Reports do nothing, no biggie.
Go back to the low and mid tiers to atleast try to spice up your CV play and positioning. As with your awareness and multitasking.
I'll be honest, if I do have a CV player like this on my team, I would be rather pissed and won't hesitate to report.

T10 CVs are kind of the same in terms of armor profile, if you show broadside, the large + high hull ensures that you catches every shell coming your way. But if you use the tactic provided above, the armor deck will protect you from long range plunging salvoes

Hold on, CV is for everyone.... noob or not is different matter.

if someone is bad playing the most powerfull class in the game, its clearly he will bad in every classess.

that is depend, i will bow on to enemy  rather than turning 180 degree everytime i  launch plane.

this is actually bad advice for CV.

my suggestion is screw the win rate, and keep playing  the high tier experience. not everyone can play more than 10 match a day. sticking to low tier is SLOW progression.

beside, your win rate is screwed anyway when you play noob in low tier too.

playing CV in higher tier is easier than low tier.
