Question before I whale doubloons - these commanders in the armoury - the big hunt packs - are they permanent commanders? Or will they disappear once the event is concluded?

The Big hunt UI is very cluttered on the top left, way too many stuffs are there. I would suggest to separate them for a neat look. The mini-map needs to have a smoother refresh rate, especially when the ship is travelling in high speeds.

FIX THE POLYGON MAP GEOMETRY!

During PTS, I got stuck for the entire duration of a match when I sailed into a small "mountain" at the edge of the map, but I couldn't reverse while there was open water behind the ship.

Today I got stuck IN OPEN WATER and couldn't get out for 5 minutes straight. IN OPEN WATER!

At the end of a battle, just before the score is calculated, the final screenshot of the game before last is displayed rather than the battle I've just played.

I'd suggest going through the usual fault find mate, so could be your system not up to spec anymore, drivers out of date, mods, etc...

If it's still an issue after all that jazz, run WGCheck and submit a ticket with the report.

(Pasted from my ticket) since the update: ' the UI has begun to fail. Torp tubes become locked (won't rotate), torps in the water 'stutter' their way through the water or freeze entirely, shots fired are invisible (but will later randomly fly across the map), red ships become 'ghosts', the mini-map freezes, I die for no apparent reason (in two examples I'm dead but my health bar is full or 75% full), and the consumable buttons can also lock after usage (i.e., so that I can't use Damage Repair a second time), and now the sound is also 'stuttering'. Any or all of these problems can occur all at once, to a lesser or greater extent. Utter chaos.'

So do I like the 'visual improvements'? No, not really 🙄

The ticket response I received: 

You face a known bug. Our developers are working to fix this problem, but it may take some time.
At the moment we can advise you of the following ways to improving the situation:

  • close other applications in the background;
  • reduce the Sea Rendering Quality to «low» or «very low» in graphics settings;
  • turn on the full-screen mod and reduce screen resolution;
  • set the graphics quality to «low».

You can perform these actions one at a time, from top to bottom, to check, if the issue is gone.
If the issue persists we will not be able to give you any other recommendations to solve this issue at the moment.

I've done all that and much, much more (uninstall, reload, update drivers, test connections, yadda yadda) but the game was becoming increasingly unplayable and unstable (but all other games still play fine). I have had 5 test games in co-op today that didn't appear broken, but the problem was random (though getting noticeably worse) so after only 5 games I as yet have zero confidence that it's fixed. Frankly the ticket response looks utterly generic, but hopefully it contains a grain of truth re the developers working to set things right. 

Well, you did ask 😉

Key Battle

A change of pace and gameplay. I really enjoyed key battle. Solo or team up.

The ability to customize ships and their characteristics is amazing!

The ship model changing color and design is awesome!

The different way how consumables work is impressive!

The concepts implemented in this game mode is astonishing!

And it's fun! Fun very important.

Good Great Job!

 

Battleships part 2

The collection is great and the reward is also great.

However, the reward ship, USS Oklahoma, her reload should be buffed. 35 seconds instead of 40 seconds.

She already suffers on her very slow speed.

 

Arpeggio of Blue Steel Collaboration 3

Very disappointed.

First, ARP Yamato.

Selling a T10 ship is already very questionable. But selling a T10 ship, in an overpriced price tag, in a bundle, as well as a Legendary Module / Unique Upgrade is absolutely unacceptable.

1. Why sell a Legendary Module / Unique Upgrade on a T10 premium ship? What is the motive / excuse here?
    No, ARP Yamato is not a tech tree ship. ARP Yamato is considered as a premium ship.
    The Legendary Module / Unique Upgrade is a straight buff / upgrade to the ship.

2. Are you (WG) selling an iPhone SE? At that price tag, players are almost able to buy an iPhone SE. At least an iPhone SE, you can hold, use and own the product.
     ARP Yamato is digital. We don't own it. We can't hold it. We can only use it inside the game. But outside the game, it is useless.
     That price tag is not worth it.

 

Second, Musashi camo.

Why would you sell Musashi camo only but not sell the ship itself at the same time?

What is the use of the camo if players can not buy and / or do not have the ship. There is no way to acquire the ship and there has been no re-sale of any ship that was taken off the premium shop.

Ships such as Missouri, Kronshtadt, Jean Bart, Guilio Cesare, etc. 5 years after the game's release, those ships that were pulled out of the premium shop has yet to be re-sold. None has been re-sold as of date.

 

Yamato should have been camo and Musashi should have been ARP Musashi.

 

Finally, and the biggest offense in the collaboration, ARP Maya.

Even before the release, the playerbase / community has already pointed out and have sent their feedback, that we do not like and approve the lazy copy paste of ARP Maya from ARP Takao.

The playerbase / community would have bought APR Maya if she was modeled after Maya '43 (4 x 2).

What you implemented is Maya '33 (5 x 2). Even Choukai is different compared to Takao and Atago.

 

Everything about Arpeggio collaboration 3 was a disaster. It is the worst compared to the first and second collaboration.

In the first 2 collaborations, playing players can play through combat mission and get ARP ships and captains, while paying player can get the ARP ships and captains right away, without playing through combat mission.
Balance between F2P (free to play) and P2A (pay to advance) players.

But in the 3rd collaboration, there is no ARP ship for combat mission. Only ARP captain. Very disappointing.
Who ever arranged and approved the 3rd collaboration in its current state, must be held accountable for the poor handling of this collaboration, angered & disappointed the playerbase, and low sales.

 

Black Friday

Black Friday is done better compared to ARP collaboration.

Not bad WG.

Could give more combat mission containers for F2P players though.

 

Visual and Other Changes

There were some last minute update or change on auto pilot that was not documented during the first release, but then later added.

Please avoid such actions in the future.

It is not a good practice to make last minute update or change while using the old patch number.

It may be considered as stealth update or change / undocumented update and change / unintended update or change.

If there is a last minute update or changes, please update or change them separately and send the update or change document separately.

 

Overall

By far the only patch in 2020 I liked and enjoyed.

Only Arpeggio collaboration is a disappointment and a disaster.

A minor sound bug. When I use fighter/spotting aircraft and during it's activation duration, if I press Z to follow up my shells/torps and then Z to switch back to ship, I always hear a sound like a bomb is being dropped. I checked many times and confirm that there was no ally/enemy dive bomber around me.

Hello

I know games are ridiculously unfair. I'm, getting continually up tiered against tier 8 Battleships and even tier 8 aircraft carriers and I'm only tier 6. Its really unfair.  One rocket plane attack from tier 8 air crafts took out over half my survivability. I think only 1 rocket landed on hull????

 

How does War Gaming think games are fair, the way they are teaming up ships? It is common to see cruisers against ships of 1 or 2 tiers higher, especially battleships.

Another example of a game. You take a position, you get spotted by aircraft, then get hammered out of the game by 1 or 2 battleships who love to pick you off from back way beyond the limits of your own guns.
