A salty player confronted me via msg after losing game

I was playing a random game a while back. I played T6 Weser CV. I have to be frank  I am not very good at CV.

Have a few games also playing Weser before this fateful game, where our team lost, and I managed only hitting about 6K pts. The previous games I managed to hit enemies with average 30K to 40K damages, only this fateful game I performed very badly.

In the game, a teammate got very angry and scolded me. Not only that, after the game ends, he/she sent messages to vent his/her unhappiness with my performance. We had a spat as I was triggered somewhat his mentioning about Asian thing.

I must admit I am angry too and lost my cool during the spat, and I mention "white" in the heated exchanges. I have to say sorry for that, as I hate racist remarks too. I can't believe you have this kind of salty player.

It is just a game, not everyone performs well in every game. Sometimes you don't play well due to inexperience, as in my case, playing CV is very new to me.

And honestly this is pretty pointless. You shouldn't have responded. Just reported them.

The issue is that you have effectively 'Named & Shamed' them by putting their name in the image, which is against forum rules.

You're going to find a vast number of salty players in this game and a sizable number are going to be immature and or racist. If you don't want to deal with salty players then play either Operations or Co-op. 

Coming onto the forum doesn't do anything, this is not new, it's been happening since the server launched, the best option is to report them.

Unless of course you were actually trolling them, in which case, well done.

Thank God he's not one of my clanmate. Some of my clanmates are now raging in the discord because CVs ruin their day.

Back to the topic. As the others have said, just ignore him. There's no need to get dragged into his rage.

After looking through OP's stat page, I do understand why said player is pissed. 
I do admit what drives me insane at times as with many other players I have known are questionable CV players where said player doesn't know much or whatever they are doing further dragging the team down. But again, bad players exist for all classes but CV players in general are really................................. .

With that aside, your best bet is to ignore said players when they do message you. InGame or after the battle, ignore them. Don't give them their attention. You also seem to have taken their bait and looks like that player did manage to get you to loose your cool. You took the bait, you gave that player the attention he needed. So, like many others have stated above, IGNORE them.

Also, one good way to not get trash talked on is not be bad. Yeah, its easier said than done, not everyone is equal, not everyone is good. But always try to learn and improve.
I always tell myself this, "Can't get trash talked on if you are not trash". And I haven't gotten any hate speech along those lines above, only from players that I spammed to death.

Actually there is no need to call for staffs to close down a thread.
Most threads will die off on its own as time goes by and I don't think there is much here so it's just gonna get further down. So it's alright to leave it be.

The only times that a thread gets locked/hidden is when it goes severely off-topic and/or when questionable arguments starts. Cough Nuefert1 cough.

Long time a go.... I tend to blame CVs. Now, after a few battles onboard CV, I know It (might) was difficult especially for newbie players. So I never rant on CV so bad as the OP had above.

On the other side, sometimes I cooperate with our team CV.

There is a battle, few days ago... where both my Fuso and our team Ryuujo turn tide of battle against 4 enemies (2 DDs, 2 CLs), from the brink of defeat into glorious victory.

Actually I have been playing quite a dozen CV games at Coop and Operations, kind of testing water first before I jump into playing randoms.

I am not anti-CV, in fact I found it very fun having to play in my IJN CAs against on-slaught of enemy planes. I take that as a challenge to up my skills in my CAs dodging planes. It's also enjoying to see my CA "tirk-tirk-tirk-tirk" firing at incoming planes

That's the reason until recently I decide to try out playing CV. I know I have very little experience, and must start from zero somewhere, in random battles.

I really feel bad in that game, seeing myself not hitting the enemy ships, I felt letting down my team-members.

But I never expect a team-mate to confront me like that. A bit demoralizing to be frank, after this saga.

It's ok, don't be affected too much by salty peers. This game is a constant learning process, as long as you learnt something new it's not a loss.

But tbh he shouldn't expected everything from a T6 CV, T6 is still a learning stage for CV players.

Lol i am barely play Co-op. If i want to test ship i will do it in random or ranked. You only learn few shit in Co-op, random is where bloodshed training. From random you will learn a lot. Win rate is nothing compared to skill you gain.

I have several account trying to statpad, but in the end i feel stupid and decided to stick with my first account. 

 

The chase of Georgia, its went badly at early since i am not familiar with BB without Citadel immunity. I got smacked alot...... German and French BB maybe burning Raft, but they strong againts AP. The exact opposite is Georgia, its hard to burn but prone to Citadel or normal hit.

 

Trying to get high win rate is the most stupid thing i have ever done.....

 

The best fun is not when you are winning, but when you sinking or nuking other ship.....

I can confirm that as someone who used to work for a bank in a role where you would cope abuse in a semi-regular basis.

Nothing is more satisfying than to drive those people crazier by doing things like this.

Fair enough in T6, but by the time you get to TX then a bad CV driver deserves everything they get. Especially given the importance of the relative difference in quality of players in a ship which can influence the battle in a way the CV can. 

Had a guy yesterday in a Midway who launched Torp Bombers and flew them around over the top of our fleet for nearly 5 minutes. No spotting for the big guns, no air support, no finding isolated players and hounding them. I have never seen such a bad performance by a CV player, even at low tiers. Then after one of the flanks collapsed, which he totally missed in the excitement, he was snuck up on by a battleship and deleted.

After 47 battles in the Midway he was sitting at 39% WR. 

He deserved every bit of salt our team was hurling at him for such a terrible performance.

Learn your craft in low tiers, that is what they are for.

This is simply not true.

If someone is salty AF, like this player was and they somehow think you are the issue, it doesn't matter if you are pro or not, they will blame you.

Or they will blame something to do with you in game, a specific action or thing.

e.g.

- You didn't cap straight away forcing them to yolo and die.

- You didn't kill a radar CA because you couldn't hit him as he was behind the island - you didn't position properly

- You have more than 50% HP, you aren't tanking in a BB... ... (if you need me to explain why this is wrong most of the time, start a new thread and tag me, I'll explain).

- You are playing ___ ship. BBaby is a common one, CV is WAY more common a hatred focal point, another is radar ship.

The issue here is that this person hasn't realised that his own actions are the thing he can improve the most and even if he is he's so on tilt or drunk or whatevs that he's lashing out anyways.

Keep trying to improve OP/everyone but don't think that just because you get better that you'll stop getting this kind of crud; it just tends to happen a bit less frequently.

And the misguided and uneducated are everywhere, because WG are bad at design/explaining things... e.g. CV fighters are primarily for spotting or deterrence not actual protection but try and tell that to the majority of the population.

You should have reported it without entertaining the PM. In my vocabulary, that is stalking and it merits a penalty. Take a photo and submit it to the Unsportsmanlike section, General Discussions.

You can also - for a heavier penalty - write a Player Ticket with an accompanying photo. 

 

In my opinion, it is useless to discuss immediately after a game when everyone is to fiery tempered. In the end - from your photo shot - you both sounded as big losers.

Besides, this is just a game after all.
