capping have a lot of XP especially when you cap early but no one contest the cap till the end....

but combined with 100K spotting damage is even more..... sometimes i am jealous of DD spotting reward.... since CV wont be rewarded like that

I guess a lot of my HMMMM was trying to remember who had said what about DD gameplay.

And the "damage" rewards meta.

I guess I was just HMMMM about that because I actually fully acted as a cap and scoutship for the team and came third on the scoreboard.

I was just reflecting on what that means.

I think it means you CAN actually profit from TEAMPLAY?

You do real good on the task or your teammates do lousy on theirs , likely both.

Indeed. This is from our last meme div.

Most of my damage were done against Kitakaze, the rest was done on Alaska. But I did cap & shot down some planes.

And yes the radar distribution was balanced.

DDs get the most XP from two activities, landing torpedos for sudden big damage chunks, and capping.

They get a lot less for slow chip damage from guns and fires and through spotting.

What surprises me from this is what sort of teams both sides must have had to get this result.

Im guessing it was a case where you team pushed, capped, and the other team moved back and was Slowly farmed while your team built up points until you won.
And looking at the scores on your team, it was mostly the Minnesota and Brindisi who were doing the farming, with the rest doing little more that convincing the energy to stay back.

Its an interesting case where I think both teams were a little lacking. Though it was your gain, so all good.

The XP for capping is a lump sum of about 1000 base XP divided by the percentage of the cap points you are responsible for. In your case it was 100% since the rest of your team did Jack. So +1000 to you, with 200 more as "thank you" for spotting 125k. If you'd actually managed to land a torp or two you'd be looking at a 2200 base XP game, rather than 1200...

(we can argue whether spotting 125k was "worth" more than 200 XP or not, but personally I am satisfied with DD rewards nowadays.)

depend on DD, Orkan, Loyang and German DD could get cap easily as long as CV not present. as DD player who dodged shell crayzily, CV auto death sentence is more threat than enemy radar. 

shell damage can be RNG based and when you luck hit its barely any shell hit. except for slow DD.....

Yeah, good question.

As others pointed out or worked out, both teams were kind of static.

Yes and no.

It was a very slow affair.

Like I capped enemy "base" before it was all over.

I had that much time.

Also, almost 42k potential damage. They were shooting at you, they just weren't landing any shots. Dodging OP.

I've had huge spotting games, over 200k but with no caps and you are lucky to break 1k base.

Also doubt the reward for a full solo cap is 1k, I've had 3 solo cap games and gotten about 2.3k with 132k damage plus spotting (was top tier DD though).

Hmm, i wonder whose playing that Z-46...must be a noob that likes chopping board way too much 

Anyway yeah, so far i'm playing her (and Maass) and i feel they're more rewarding than my other grinds. Maybe those additional rewards did indeed help. _{also thank you Drakon for teaching me some tips on how to play Z-46}

Yeah there was also a dummy on Kitakaze that didn't hit anything with torps. He must've been busy daydreaming of Eugen hips too much throughout the game.... He didn't even use chat!
