Eeeh, it does look weird, and i don't know if the turrets roof are strong enough to hold the weight given how lightly armored it is, but it's indeed possible to mount a catapult above turrets. IIRC New Mexico, Bayern in-game, and Colorado has them.

I just learned this myself, but there are some designs irl that would have the catapult on top of a turret. Two birds, one stone type thing? ....those poor birds. Ah no, the placement is not the issue, it's the fact that even though it exists, YOU CANNOT EQUIP ANY FORM OF AIRCRAFT I understand that because Its on a turret modeling the aircraft taking off on a moving object that can be obstructed would be... err... Difficult, but it still hurts to see the catapult and realise, 'oh wait, thats right WG, I might as well not have a catapult.' @mademoisail If it's possible, could you bring this up with WG?
948 [VKNGS] Puggsley Member 1,722 posts 23,350 battles Report post #6 Posted September 17, 2020 There was a special plug which fitted into the end of the barrel which functioned as a primitive catapult when the gun was fired to help launch the plan.
