WG you must fix an autopilot issue

I died at least 10 times while I'm playing carriers thanks to autopilot bugs. Although I set a course to turn away from the enemy, autopilot refuses to do so and just goes straight up against enemy ships. If you cannot fix this autopilot bug, I strongly recommend to allow CVs to control their own ships while they're on the plane control mode. This is definitely one of the worst bugs existing in the game.

The current iteration of the autopilot is one of the worst so far imo.

I am still constantly amazed in the decision making process (if there even was one) during CV rework in changing CV gameplay to attract more players to the class, that decrees that players cannot have direct hull control of the CV, and must use the auto pilot.

But the auto pilot is not fixed so it actually works for all these CV players.

Current version is absolute trash. It is just as likely to get you killed as the enemy. I use it sometimes at battle start. In open water from the spawn I will click with one waypoint for my ship to turn left/right and sail to a point. Only to come back to my PC 30 sec later to see it heading off in almost entirely the opposite direction. Must be hell for CV players using it all the time in much more complex situations around islands and multiple waypoints.

Honestly it probably will never be fixed, as each time it has been fiddled with has made it worse, yet it still gets released in this worse state. Unless WG can sell a fixed auto pilot as a feature of a Prem CV release I wouldn't hold my breath on it getting fixed anytime soon.

i'd pay if they roll back to previous autopilot. the current one is garbage

just give CV the ability to zoom in while in tactical map view for more precise autopilot pathway plotting.

now i understand why a lot of cv died during the middle of the game. guys, dont blame cv from now on, its WG fault after all.
