Best Premium Ship on this list? (May be opinion only)

TL:DR

All the ships on this list have three things in common:

1. They can all drop from the Guaranteed Tier 8 Premium Ship Container for 180 Summer Tokens.
2. They can all be purchased with doubloons from the Armoury.
3. I don't have any of them.

I have a doubloon discount coupon for the Armoury.
There is enough time for me to gather enough tokens to get the T8 ship box.
What I really want from the box is Bama or Witchy. (Don't care if good or bad ships, just like to fill up my US fleet).
I want to buy one with discount before gambling to (fractionally) increase my chance of getting what I want.

I don't know that I'm super keen on any of them.

Orkan would help me complete the European DD campaign (slightly).
Cunningham says I should buy Vanguard.

Is Kii a secondary ship at all?

Kii is excellent albeit with trollish dispersion...

She is not a secondary ship though, limited range.

Lo Yang is always strong in any T8-locked game mode, e.g. ranked but is otherwise powercrept.

I love Roma and Vanguard but both are arguably 'meh'
Roma because of horrible RNG dispersion and overpens
Vanguard because of turret angles and 'poor' firepower.

i'd say all of these ships are subpar, if you really want to spend on container i suggest the CV containers, the ship pool only includes one shit ship and the other 3 range from very good to borderline OP

ouch, the saipan and enty are the pest of the pick but both those ships are decent, kaga as a trainer CV and GZ for T8 ranked sprint maymays

anything apart from the orkan is a ok pick, they are all about the same level of strength with maybe loyang and indomitable being the most cheese of the lot, so one of those 2 if i was the one going to buy

Loyang is probably the best one in that list.

A lot of sub-par ships on that list, not worth chancing a random drop. Most are not terrible, its just that you can have as much or more fun on the tech tree equivalent. Orkan is just a Euro Lightning for example, Kii .. might as well play Amagi. Ditto Gascogne and Richelieu. Ochakov and Iran are gimmicky and not very effective.

For perspective consider the "good" T8 premiums like Atago, Mass, Mainz, Kidd, Asashio... that's definitely the B-team material in those crates.

The most you really have to do to get to the good ships is to filter out the trash.

Which would be: Orkan,Ochakov,Gascogne and Vanguard.

The rest of them aren't bad.

In my opinion facing them, the most PITA is Roma. Surprisingly tanky and very hard-hitting guns (though assuming it hits, but the dispersion might be a double-edged sword as it also allows more wider area to anticipate a turn or just blindfire). Also beautiful.

Apart from Loyang, none of those are very impressive. Indomitable is probably the most unique playstyle of the bunch.

You can, but be warned its secondary range is not as long as the French or the Germans. 7.6km range with flag, upgrade and AFT.

There aren't too many ships I'd personally choose to pick on that list.  Vanguard is probably the pick of them imo, it has superb rudder shift, great AA, and decent reload, and I think these are things you can use to your advantage.  I enjoy it.  However, many don't because of the 380mm guns and the poor turret arcs.

Roma is an okay ship, and stunning.  The guns are both good and bad - great against BB's if you out position them and get their side, pretty bad against broadside cruisers (you need to try and hit them at a 30-45° angle).

Indomitable is very simple to play, and fun, but with very limited game influence compared to other T8 CV's.

There are a lot of very average ships on that list.

I'm unimpressed with this event.  It actively works against players with plenty of premiums.  I have all the ship on the air supply loot table, the santa crate loot table, the black friday loot tables (although I only have about half of the "B" ships, for the ones I don't have, I have the original version).  There are 6 T8's, 2 T7's, 1 T6, and zero T5's that I don't have, and all nine of those ships I don't have are awful.  Basically all I can really get from this event are a few overpriced flags or camos, or some slightly discounted doubloons by buying T5 crates.

Yes I also have a great many ships that can be "won" from this event.

That's why I am considering how I might adjust the odds slightly in my favour.

TBH with all the feedback here, I may not worry about spending any more money on gambling and just buy the actual ship I want from Armoury.

I'll see who else has any input here for a while.
