On the other hand, I noticed a loophole to justify the possibility of a clone of GC, but as a T6. The real ship was transferred to the Soviet Union in 1949, and renamed to Novorossiysk. But yeah this would basically be Makarov 2.0. Alternatively, WG could partially revive their plan to reassign GC to T6 without touching the old one, just like what they are doing with Belfast now.
