Normally i wouldn't be in a rush and I would keep the FXP for Agir.

BUT...

The anniversay "Mini Snowflake" event soon means you get a Supercontainer for the first game in each TX you have.

I have 3x T9's.

Wondering which one/s I can/should FXP to, so I can get an/some extra Supercontainer/s.

I don't mind playing them all so FXPing past a lemon isn't really a consideration.

I have the Permacamo waiting for Z-52 from the last phase of the German event - if that makes any difference.

the IX DDs are fine to play in this meta, both suffer equally at the hands of radar and planes but it's not too big of a problem if you PTFO, donskoi became borderline unplayable for me after the IFHE change because of how little damage you do, so my vote is fot FXPing to AL

Nevsky if you want a soviet rail/machine gun.   Halland if you want to troll CV's.  Z52 if you want to be that in the meme.  Any of them if you want 50 ram flags.

I assumed you have the petro so i voted Halland .. then i thought "what if Max doesnt have petro?"  well then maybe the Alex is the answer... but if you do not have the Petro wouldn't that be in the options ... ? Or maybe you forgot to put the Petro in there. Or maybe you forgot there was a Petro in which case you might not be smart enough to use the Halland.  Did you even consider the tier ten German  CV?  Do you even have CV's? Did you know there were CV's in game... Halland has AA so maybe that's why you put it in the poll.  Alex has Radar? That beats DDs so def don't get Halland. Or maybe you like a challenge, get the Halland. 

Note to self: Go easy on the energy drinks.

Alex Nev is winning at this stage.

Because I can't decide I will likely just do the one that gets the most votes when the mini snowflake thing drops (can get a few more K xp on each before then).

Does Alex Nev need a specialised Captain?

Does it need IFHE?

Would a 152mm Mogami Captain be a suitable captain template?

This guy is on my Budy atm.

He has room for IFHE and AR to round him out.

Should I shuffle him up to Alex Nev and give him those skills when the time comes?

Al. Nevsky and Halland are both absolutely worth getting.

Halland is my fav DD in game right now and Nevsky is a RU "Light" cruiser. All you need to know right there. Z-52 is ok but not amazing in the way the other two are.

 

Sure you can't just grind them before the SC's arrive? Save your Free XP for Agir or something else that comes along.

If it is the same as years past, any T10 that comes into your port during the event counts for a SC. Doesn't have to be in port only when the patch goes live.

I can't speak for how busy you are or how much time you could put in at the moment, but I could easily have all 3 done in coop before the SCs arrive.

I'm looking forward to my 34 SC's. Maybe, just maybe 35 if I can get Slava before time is up.....

Not really in my opinion. I have a 19 pointer on Nevsky but it is just a regular Captain and not one of the special ones. I move him around to Bagration, Murmansk, Kirov, Molotov and even Lazo and Kutuzov at times.

Nevsky, for me anyway, would be a fun ship to train up a new captain on. If you wanted to leave that other captain on the Budy for the T6 ops, that is.

I didn't take IFHE as you pen 30mm out of the box and didn't feel that crossing the 32mm level was worth the nerfing of 50% of your fire chance. I didn't take DE either, as I seem to start many fires as is.

These 180mm HE shells don't do massive damage, as you probably noticed at the previous tiers anyway. It is all about the rate of fire and setting fires for me.

I vote none. Just play them normally and save the free xp. Imo their Tier 9s aren't that bad.

Besides, if this year's anniversary event is similar to the last, any Tier 10 obtained during the event will still reward you an SC. So you actually have until the end of the event to complete the grind.

Grind them normally, then free xp the last stretch if you think you aren't going to complete their grinds in time.

AL is more consistent than petro, petro will either have absolutely eat shit games, or she'll have monster games, there's not much of a middle ground

I've only tested on PTS, I still found Petro more consistent than Al Nev, turret config is just better...

But I'll defer to your experience

If you have the special flags, around 20 to 25 average to well done games should be enough to research your T10 ship. That;s basically an average 12,000 XP per battle which isn't a big stretch will all 8 special flags equipped along with the 5 economy flags and permanent camo. Even easier if you use a type 59 camo or better.

I'm currently regrinding Donkey for Nevsky, have 100k left to go after just 12 battles. 50% win rate this time around (first time I did this for Moskva I managed it in 20 games with a 67% winrate).

Just saying it's not hard to do even for a potato like me.

If you are to just spam he with the Nevsky then you are better just stick with Donskoi because spamming he at long range as Nevsky is hilariously unfun. (Both you and the enemy) Although I haven't played Halland yet I think Halland is a better choice.
