Gneisenau: A story from 2 Histories.

Historically, Gneisenau had an early Comission and a very tragic fate in Real life, her most major parts in the Atlantic is Operation Cerberus.

After Scharnhorst was sunked in the Battle Of North Cape, this was only planned for Gneisenau but she was strucked by British Submarine and Bombed by RAFs and was never repaired only dimlighted and scrapped for 1946

 

 

In the Kaiserreich timeline:

In Kaiserreich, Gneisenau and Scharnhorst were never met a Destructible fate, they were under of the rule of the Kaiserin, known as Kaiser Wilhelm II, Gunter Lutjens was Assinged aboard the SMS Gneisenau and the SMS Scharnhorst, they were the guards of the Greater German Empire on nearby Atlantic. The High Seas Fleet has lived long after their victories on the Battle of Jutland.

 

In 1937-1939 of this timeline, Gneisenau still Commissioned as early, but there are diffrences. Their flags are Under the Kaiserliche Marine, They also Guard the Enitre Atlantic in case of Union Of Britain's Scarlet Navy attacks their Mainline or an imminent Invasion.

The Design of Gneisenau remains unknown, HOWEVER, some of the Plastic Model from the Designers have recovered the Design for Gneisenau:

The Changes from Gneisneau is her Displacement, the Turrets, the Auxillaries and Superstructures. Torpedoes remain unchanged. Her Design from WoWs Blitz is similar but has no AA emplacement on her B Turret:

Her 1945 design is based still on her Battleships, changes are the Anti Air guns were replaced by more German Flak LM42 37mm and several Flakvierlings, her Auxillaries are changed into 12.8cm Guns that can be seen on the Cruiser Hermelin.

 

I don't really like naming them Kriegsmarine. I rather call the German Navy the:

Kaiserliche Marine

On a side note, why cant we have this flag from T1 to T4 /T5. T4 / T5 to T7 will have the Reichsmarine flag. And T8 to T10 will the the current in-game Kriegsmarine flag.

I mean Soviet ships have both Imperial Russian navy flag from T1 to T4 and Soviet Navy flag from T5 to T10.

Unless there was some objection from Germany?

We won't have the Imperial Flag Unless WoWs have interest in the Kaiserreich period. @S0und_Theif, Izmail and Sinop doesn't have a Red Star into them, they're basically Imperial Russian Battleships but with Post-Soviet Refits.

I don't mind a WoWs x Kaiserreich mod.

Gneisenau is by default my most favorite KM BB ever played. So does Scharnhorst ( even though i do not have it but i wish i had that ),  ( Its also one of my first T7 Battleship when KM BB was a thing. )

The sharp looking battleship, Long and sleek. Quite a modern battleship, better targeting system the looks etc, Fast battleship with deceptively strong belt " Mein KRUPP " armor. ( also Turtleback )
