Dissatisfied with SEA Server Game play? NA is the way!!

Dear fellow WoWsers,

I have been playing this game since January 2016 and I have seen a noticeable change in the game play on the SEA Server in recent times with a lot of negative tactics like 1 line stat padding, hiding behind rocks, individual selfishness and the sheer number of players that either do not speak English or are not interested in communicating unless they are motivated to say "Noob!" or "Poi!". Actually to be honest, maybe it hasn't changed that much and I am actually now at the point where I simply want more from the game.

This game for me is all about playing as a team, communicating with others and having aggressive and engaging battles. Sure you get this in Clan Battles, but Randoms are 70% of my game play and aimlessly drifting around in the game with nobody working towards the objectives and communicating is... quite frankly soul destroying!

I was about to pull the pin and walk away from the game entirely and then I decided to check out the NA Server. It was like "Where have you been all my life??". I have resisted to make the move in the past to the NA Server based on comments that the Lag makes it unplayable for anyone outside of the US. This is a complete lie! There is no noticeable difference in the in-battle Game performance between SEA and NA. The other negative comment was the chat can be extremely toxic. Well this is something I am yet to experience and if anything, seeing block after block popping up and no response to support requests is far more toxic than the odd flame if you ask me. I played a battle the other night on the NA Server and requested a DD to go to a cap I was supporting and guess what....they actually did it!! I was totally shocked. This was not a one off either. It happens quite a lot. And most players on NA are focused on the objectives of each battle which makes for really competitive and action packed game play.

Obviously since i have been playing this game for over 4 years, I have spent a crap load of money on this game and have a hell of a lot of boats, special cammo's etc and I am kicking myself that I did not take advantage of the Server account Transfer event back in October 2019.

So that is some background to provide some context, and here is my point for this post.

I opened a ticket with Wargaming support and requested a Transfer of my account from SEA to NA and it was, as expected... refused. I asked if there would be another account transfer event and whilst they did not commit to anything, they did not rule it out. They just told me to be patient and keep an eye on the news.

So, to try and move things along, is there anyone else here on the SEA Server experiencing the same boring, soul destroying block filled game after game and are desperate for more interesting and engaging game play? If so, and you would like to encourage Wargaming to open another account transfer event so you can transfer all your hard earned in-game assets, express your interest below and hopefully if we get enough numbers, Wargaming will surely take us seriously.

Are you sure about the better gameplay though? Someone posted this on the forum.

And no that's not something I post there. You can see my username on the top right hand corner.

Lets not confuse the game mechanics with the overall game play. I have played over 13,000 battles on SEA and a couple of hundred in all game modes on NA and I can tell you that for me, the game play is 100 times more fun and engaging on NA. Its far more aggressive and sure that brings with it fire spam, RNG craziness and overall mayhem, but for me, this is what WoWs should be all about. As Steve Coogan hilariously once said, "Tomorrow we battle! And we may lose our lives, but remember, death is but a moment, and cowardice is a lifetime of affliction!"

Meanwhile there's dieselhead77 in NA forums acting like he owns the place now and constantly says this when I or Moggy post something there:

Why are you posting this here yet you didnt post it on your own server SEA?

Like you think CV's are fine anyway so idk why you're bothering. Is it just because you think you are so much better than everyone else that have to convert the heathens? Seriously just stay on your own server with your own cracked opinions.

You're missing the point.

The second thing that guy said is about the people with bad WR dominating the T10 games. Sure it might be fun to play with risky tactic, but I think there will be a point where it becomes mundane as that kind of playstyle will fail as frequently as it works. And of course that guy actually has long mileage in NA that he has seen the things you might not have seen in few hundreds of battles.

We have some new players who post regularly enough on this forum, and we can tell they have yet to see much, either.

I'm not saying we are better though. But I don't think the NA is that great, either

Also, try comparing this thread posted here:

to the thread posted in NA forums:

https://forum.worldofwarships.com/topic/222449-the-dd-concealment-change-will-redefine-how-cvs-affect-the-game/

You can see how incredibly dumb and toxic people are there.

I find the amount of "lack of teamwork" comment in that NA thread to be higher than I expect. I wonder why.....

I know a bunch of people that moved to the NA server, because it initially felt better. It didn't fix the experience of the game for them in the long run and they don't play it much anymore at all on either server.

It can be bad over there as well, just for different reasons.

I transferred my main account to NA in the Great Migration a little while ago.

I transferred back to SEA before the cool down period ended.

This isn't really a comment on either SEA or NA though.

My personal choice was to remain in SEA.

I agree with almost everything everyone says (especially as an English only speaker) about reasons to stay or go but I think many people are motivated by racist reasons or the hope that "the grass is greener on the other side".

Neither of these reasons seems valid to me.

Once again, my choice was personal and I don't say anyone should or shouldn't play on SEA or NA based on what I think.

I think you should play a GAME where ever is the most fun for YOU.

yes i play both servers my region is Asia, i'm Australian. the asian game play is a selfish one compared to NA region the prompt to join a cohesive clan will not work with players that cant speak english or play as a team. i only keep the Asian server in the hope the dev's realise that Australian's are not aisians and give us our own server as they did in world of tanks.

there's a push i believe to force players to spend more on this game as in the last couple of updates the bots in coop games are almost  indestructible and even playing a good match anything above a tier 6 barely makes any credits. i have played coop for 4 years  and have sold every ship back to tier 6 as the random game is just a prolonged game of hide and seek and players not helping team only firing to steal the kill. this game has lost it's appeal for me. in a nutshell you cant play clan without an interpreter in asian region, the asian player cant grasp the concept of team play anyway, or there just plane selfish and now the bots are given a bigger brain than real players.

i have multi profiles in most games i play this is one of my newest. the NA latest up date has now made the bots stronger as well now .

Maybe more active Aussies playing and enjoying the game may help this happen?

We aren't owed a thing by Russians making games in Prague.

Not one damn thing.

Their decisions are made by people who are affected by emotions as much as rationality and reason.

If one of them asks the others and says, "Comrade, should we make more regional servers? How about one in Australia for the ANZ crowd?" and then they go look at the forum and see whingers and racists I wonder if they FEEL like giving us something cool?

You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.

FTFY.

I know its really trendy to think that only those skanky white skippys are racist, but in a lifetime of working over lots of places in the globe, racism is pretty much the same everywhere.

Lol, so you think some of the latest issuances from WG are based on sound decision making?

Man, I've got a bridge to sell you.

Facts:

  • Skill-wise; Asia trumps at most tiers. Gameplay is played more at range subsequently on Asia, that's just common sense.
  • CVs; less on NA. That could change with time...
  • Language barriers in Asia. Depends on how you look at it, I personally find most people are idiots and I hate idiots. (Note - there's a difference between an idiot and a poor player).
  • Asia English forums are very well behaved. NA are not.

Personally the primary decision process for me was my friends and family...

They stayed Asia for most part, so I did.

I do not regret that decision.

The grass being greener is mostly a matter of perspective and opinion. I personally don't want every game to be a yolo...

Not to mention the attitude of many on that server - well I'd rather see boxes thank you... Well I do miss the opportunity to troll them, which is the main thing I miss out on in Asia...
