I believe there is already a thread that addresses the blue line camping somewhere.

ahhhhhhhggggggggggggggggg no ,

if you gof flat out into the edge , you may stop but you ship is at full speed , so if your turn left or right you can dodge left and right , people are using this to avoid shells and torps .

While extremely annoying and/or lame, it's neither illegal nor banworthy. It's simply exploiting the way game mechanics works.

Anyway, if you looked at the thread linked by MARVinis, you'll see that discussion is already taking place on how to remove the blue line to prevent silliness like that from occurring.

Wouldn'tturning the line into small zig zags solve this?

or reduce the ships power to 1/2 while turning. then normally accelerate to previous power when your ship is out of the blue.

Its not bannable, even though it can be considered exploiting the game mechanics.

The good news though, is that devs are aware of this, and has a perfect remedy for it : When you get to the blue line marking the edge of the map, Autopilot will take over, and prevent you from steering, shooting or otherwise operate the ship, untill such time the Autopilot has turned your direction away from the blue edge line, and you are steaming away from the border.

It will be implemented within the CBT timeframe.

Excellent news, though I expect to see many battleship players suddenly complaining about losing control of their ships...

They should just make the blue line line like an Island.

I.e. when you hit the blue line, it's just like hitting an Island, you stop dead and have to reverse to get out.

That makes you a stationary target and I feel that's enough punishment to make people think twice about hitting the blue line.

Preventing from shooting is too much

They can still shooting but can't steer their ship until the autopilot is done seems fairer

nope, if you want to shoot, do not run into the blue line. Time for players to start learning Situation Awareness.
