Shenyang torpedos ghost through enemy ships

1. Description

In co-op battle the torpedo aiming sight is not solid white on Shenyang for the 1st volley of torps when torps are launched, they pass through enemy ships, I have done this in 3 battles.

2. Reproduction steps

Entered 3 Co-op battles and the same result minus the team kill

 

3. Result

In the 1st battle it happened I ended up with a team kill because the whole volley of torpedos passed through an enemy DD and hit a team member.

 

4. Expected result

Wouldn’t have gotten a team kill

 

5. Technical details

Time of occurrence: about 09.50 (local time).

 

Replay (occurring at 10.10, 10.15 timestamp).

Um...………………….Deepwater torpedoes pass under DD's...……………….

Yeh, common issue when you try to target DD's with Deep Water Torps

War Gaming needs to fix this, been around since they released the PA DD's.

All Pan Asian DDs in the tech tree have torpedoes than run deeper in the water. They can only hit cruisers, BBs and CVs. They will go under DD due to running deeper. I know WG is not the greatest at advertising and explaining game mechanics and features, so I'm not surprised that this exact topic gets opened again and again.

 

From your screenshot it clearly says in very large capital letters next to the DD you are targeting with torps "IMPOSSIBLE TO HIT TARGET". Also the torp aiming line is not solid to also draw your attention to the fact you cannot hit the target you are currently locked on to.
