Audacious feels and looks like a T9 rather than a T10.

WG could put Malta as T10 RN CV. :fish_book:

@Work_ln_Progress again, nice work. 🙂

The Red Baron looks small from that angle of view.

But yes Audacious is too small to be a T10. Even Essex & Taiho were bigger I believe.

Here's the comparison (length/beam/draft in meter):

  • Essex = 265.8/28.3/10.41
  • Taiho = 260.6/27.4/9.6
  • Audacious = 245/34/10

Nope, Taiho-Kai and audacious is comparable in Displacement. Midway is however is noticably Bigger

audacious have smaller Air wing. But its to be expect as the Space and Displacement goes to Passive Protection (Armor)

Yes. Audacious is really small compared to them 2.

Malta is the only ship that exceeds both Essex and Taiho, but Midway will still be the longest compared to Malta. By 70 ft or 21 m.

I made it for you guys @S0und_Theif @humusz

Yeah, comparable displacement but smaller in dimension.

British CV is designed as Armored Carrier. Its like the little stubby small guy, but actualy heavy and muscular.

Give and take.

Malta is almost 2000 tons heavier than Midway and has armor.
But Midway carries 30 to 50 more aircraft than Malta.

Where is HMS Malta WG. :Smile-angry:

Make her a T10 premium:Smile_trollface:

F.D.Roosevelt will be real anyways.

Shinano would be the IJN counterpart.

*smashed the derail button*

How come we don't have Akagi yet?

No!

But her sisters (Gibraltar and Africa), yes. Just like FDR.

NZ could be a CWoN CV (?).

G13 = Taiho (Armored)
G15 = Taiho-kai (Armored)
G16 = Unryu (Unarmored. Comparable to Hiryu or Shokaku)
G17 = Shinano (??)

G14 = 50,000 ton CV project

:fish_book:

G18 is a CVL

I thought Akagi was a T7 tech tree?

Sorry was not paying attention to IJN RTS CV at the time.

Akagi was only in the beta. Hiryuu was the T7 in RTS era.

But honestly WG can make them whatever tier they want. What matters are the planes anyway.

WG has modelled Akagi (Tier VIII) and Shinano (Tier IX or X) back to Alpha in 2014, and since then they have been shelved till present.

I always wondered why WG introduced Kaga when they already developed a model for Akagi. It would saved them a bit of work by just brushing it up instead of creating another model.

Unless they had already developed Kaga's model back then too. I can't remember.

[Thread derailed successfully]

Tbh, I actually did not know they have developed a model for Akagi. I only brought her up because I remember a certain group within the playerbase demanded Akagi as a premium ship (possibly after Kaga's release).

Size difference makes sense when you think of what they were designed for and where they were operated.

US and IJN CVs operated in the pacific and needed to be large because they could not resupply as often.

While UK CVs (and, theoretically German CVs) would operate in the seas around Europe, closer to land and resupply.

Of course in WoWS, while models are accurate, ability has to be balanced.

But what do I know, I’m not an expert in naval aviation or warship design.

Lexington shall laugh hard with this 270.7/32.8/9.9
