Destroy the BOTS and SAVE THE GAME

The game situation is worsening rapidly because of bots, definitely.

I'm not going to present you or WG with some of the "classical" games of bots I met. Lots of players have done that and we all know what is happening in the game now.

I just want to stess that WG's "tolerance" towards bots may not be commercially profitable.

Many say that WG can get considerable profit from the bots, because the owner of bots has to subscribe premium accounts, and the player who buys the "mature" bot account has to use doubloons to change his ID...

But what's the potential loss?

Game balance, the actual game balance, is not the balance of ships. Game balance is a situation where victory highly depends on the ability of the players. The balance of ships is just the "base" of game balance.

WG is doing lots of work to balance the game. But bots make all efforts lost. A game with bots has nothing to do with balance. Victory depens on the number of bots.

I don't think it is impossible or costly to find the stupid bots: low win rate, incredible number of games played in a short time, incredibly low average damage....

So, in terms of marginal revenue, why don't WG redistribute the time and money spent on designing and anti-cheating?

Besides, for me, ok just for me, the fact that the game is becoming World of Bots, is preventing me from putting more money in the game. I'm unhappy with the unreasonable loss. I'm wondering whether the game could "survive" in the future. I'm afraid the new premium ship will just become another victim of bots...

Yes, indeed, the possibility of having a bot teammate is equal for everyone. But is it a "compensation" to sink bots in the opponent team? No. I feel robbed when they are on my side. On the other side I won't feel fulfilled when taking advantage of bots and getting a win. The game is no longer interesting.

Yeah those bots are still out there though, ruining others' win rates

I don't really think reporting them for "Plays poorly" can reduce the number of bots in this game

Now that WG gave free 14 day premium time, they'll going to bot harder.

I wouldn't say wg is doing nothing about this issue, remember cn_70? The problem is cheer amount of bot that need to be verified. You can't ban anyone just because they sailed straight into the cap at the start of the match or sailing backward to the edge of the map even though you 99.99% sure it was bot, it still can be a really really bad player or impaired player. 

It didn't mean I side with wg, they can do much better than this and remember the best way to profit from bot is let them buy your stuff then ban them so they have to buy again. Cheer

Not a real good example.  It took nearly a dozen threads including one with over 170 replies before WG did anything.

If we actually have any other well know example that is. Another example that I can think of is last year wave of bot but that still gain alot of complain before it die down. All this happen because they do this in secret so we have absolutely no idea how many of bot they actually ban so far or what measure they take to fight bot. It wouldn't have so many complaints like this if they more open about what they do with this problem.

I don't see the point of WG keeping the banning list a secret. The only thing it does is make players think WG didn't to **** to curb the numbers of bots in this game. If it's not a confirmed bot then sure keep it a secret. But if it's confirmed then what's bad about showing the name.

On several occasions, I just starts up my game, remember that there are bots (and many other WG shenanigan), then close the game because WG is trying to destroy their own game.

This is so easy.

Just take a look at the number of games played per day and when they are being played.  If the account has about 100 games played a day and/or games are being played 24hrs a day, that is definitely a bot. It is so simple for WG to just write an automated script that flags such accounts for investigation. This is not a valid excuse for WG at all.

And I don't see why WG's banning list should be a secret. Who is WG trying to protect? The botters? Well they committed a crime, they should be punished and that includes shaming. If newspapers can publish the names of criminal offenders in the news I don't see why WG should refrain from doing so. They are just reporting the facts. Plus I don't think the botters have any dignity anyway so might as well make the banning list public so the rest of us actually know WG is doing something.

I would make the limit 50 games a day... Or even 40... Even close to that is bordering on the ridiculous for a human.

maybe WG need to add CAPTCHA when you need to start a battle so it can reduce the number of bots in game

Nah WG just needs to work more seriously on this one task. I mean WG still relies on the reports from the players before they act, and this is just wrong imo.

Something something naming something something shaming something something privacy policy in western demockeries something something. Somewhere the explaination in in there. Personally, I don't agree with their way of doing things. They need to make a clear example but then again, script farmers do earn wg money so....

And that's the main problem. WG prefers to go down to take the dirty money rather than to maintain their moral ground (pun intended).

Those are the most recent examples of how the other company deals with the bots.

Although bots exist since day one, they are not as common as the bots here because the devs keep hunting the bots down by themselves instead of waiting for the piling reports from the players. And of course the company still has some moral to not take the money from the botters. In return, the players are more willingly to pay for the game although some of the new skins are expensive AF. And the event ranking is actually filled by real players, not bots. Which in fact make the whales keep on whaling.

hahaha, alway when there are  free premium day, i ussally don't play much in time like that, but now i enjoy when bot in my team, if i servive the first sheel rain i will run back in corner and see those bot dying 1 by 1 slowly.... AND I BECOME A FARMER :))))

Well let's make bot legal and make this game more Detroit city but in sea. Since WG didn't care about player complain with bot and all my match always bot like 5-6 minute ended with 20 ++ lose streak is usual.

Maybe, just maybe...: More bots, more players. Good statistics to report.

More and more bot-players on the battles lately, and they are making the battle worse, especially when they are on my team side.

On my positive side, since bots scourging this game, I stop buying any premium ships from this game. I am sure WG will not worry about what I have done. They got a lots of bot-player accounts to buy their premium ships

Well its like Bot legal now at least they buying premium account. I testing with not premium and T5 bot script for maybe 1 week still no ban. Its just for test and not 24 hours everyday.

Well I already stoping but yes... For 1 week since I really want to know how their anti bot system. Well I try in only T5 battle with my another account. Nothing happen in 1 week mean yeah .. so dissapointed.

 

A few minute ago I report my another account by ticket to see what WG doing after got ticket about bot. They just ban permanent or well other thing.

 

I just prove some issue like some player using another account for farming exp while have main account to play normally.
