30 [S-D] CeIeryCarrots Member 207 posts 11,128 battles Report post #1 Posted March 15, 2020 I've been the defacto "leader" (just the guy who accepts requests) of the clan I'm in, everything's pretty dead, we just went on to grind as much oil as we can and people can come and go. Everything's been bland, most people I know talk about the game on discord. Feels like when discord came out, it took over the role of the forums, let alone allowed you to talk to players from other servers as well. The game feels lonely, been playing solo for quite some time now, how about you?

I feel it would be helpful if WG can build into the game a Clan Forum for casual discussion. I currently have 39 out of 40 members and 75% very active so I've been lucky there. I remove anyone that hasn't played for over 100 days. I let anyone join and invite anyone but that's a bit of a mistake as some can not speak English and some when they type its square boxes that show up. lol I often type in the chat screen at the start of the game, not many people do and often request clan members to play Naval Battles in the weekend but normally 1 to max 3 of us do! Although we are very active I basically play Solo most of the time, I think everyone has that chat screen minimised. A in game chat forum would be much better, something that gets in everyone's face when there is a new message posted. Thats my thoughts. Cheers Edited April 19, 2020 by HMASOnslow
711 [KAMI] Gummiheng Member 1,707 posts 16,172 battles Report post #3 Posted April 19, 2020 The best way to get interactive with clan of strangers is to try and play division/clan battle together Be bold and ask first for division, wont hurt i will not go the "he requests, he join" route... is 80% failure imho.(first few days u can see connection but longer he stay, lesser you two going to chat) -best is to play a couple game with him and sees he interacts back first ingame or whichever platform u met
0 [WOW-] HMASOnslow [WOW-] Member 4 posts 4,819 battles Report post #4 Posted April 19, 2020 Yes good point Gummiheng, I haven't done divisions for ages. Will help a lot and then when it comes time for clan battles people might be ready. Haven't been able to have clan battles yet as haven't had enough people on at the time and even when I asked beforehand it never works. You can invite ppl from outside the clan can't you? Cheers Stew. (HMASOnslow) ---> years ago I must have somehow known they will bring Subs into the game hehe

Nope, you just have to work with what you've got, which can at times seem a bit like herding cats, but once you've got a good team together you'll find turnout gets easier. That would probably be a good idea. Really need a central place to chat and discuss happenings, tactics and strategies which, at the very minimum, requires a website. But, IME, getting a clan onto the website and engaging is difficult. A forum that's part of the clan page that the game starts on would be helpful. People would log into the game and see what's happening, who's online, active discussions and clan divs looking for people.
