Greetings all, Spending some cash today to get access to the game and have no idea what to buy.

Which of the 3 ships are the best?

Currently looking hard at the Yubari and the Sims but really I have no idea.

Any help would be apprecified.

I've got the 3 ship package.

It depends on your play style ;)

The gremlin is a good DD - reasonably ranged torps, reasonable concealment to torp range ratio, slow(ish) gun traverse

The sims is just fun :) - if you don't like the mid tier USN DD's then I wouldn't buy it as a stand alone.

I like the yubari - but it is a mid tier IJN Cruiser.

If you are looking at crew training straight away either the sim or yubari (depending on nation you are looking at) will help you out nicely (class doesn't matter at this stage).

If you just want 1 of everything (collector) get the package :)

you'll enjoy them - just be mindful of the class characteristics (and keep in mind they are prems so credits are never an issue for repairs :) )

I concur! I like all three, and they're quite different despite all being torpedo-droppers.

Gremyashchy and Sims both have great guns, though they are polar opposites in traverse speed. Sims's turrets spin like ballerinas, Gremyashchy's require some... uh... forethought.

Yuubari looks poor on paper, but is quite effective in battle. Decent guns, decent torpedoes, decent speed, decent agility; it's not great at anything but it's pretty good at everything. Very flexible.

If there's one thing Yuubari is good at, it's AA. Most ships her tier have none to speak of, and are vulnerable to being clubbed by Langleys. Yuubari eats biplanes for breakfast.

The Sims and gremlin are great DD hunters. The Sims can maneuver and keep its guns trained on the enemy and pew pew them to death. The gremlin has good damage and can out range other dds at that tier so the slow turret traverse can be somewhat mitigated. Only played one game in the yubari... seemed ok

Yeah i have the Yubari and since my fav class of warships are cruisers, it suited me. It's AA is really good, problem is its kinda hard to escort ships when there are no planes to shoot down (aka no carriers in some games) and as the AA guns have an effective range of 3km (a bit short).

Only wish the Yubari had a wider torpedo arc, its currently really bad and looking at the ship it can clearly have a bigger arc of fire
