Japanese battleship Yashima, tier X

WG_SPB_WoWs_Screenshots_Supertest_091_Yashima_1920x1080.thumb.jpg.477895119bbde081d284caef1102ff43.jpg

Yashima is an alternative project of Yamato, armed with 6 510-mm guns and modernized AA defense. The battleship has shells with high damage and very good penetration, but not the best ballistics. As these shells need to pass through a thick armor to detonate, there will often be over-penetration when lightly armored targets are hit. However, enemy battleships are a perfect target for Yashima.

Hit points – 97200. Plating - 32 mm.

Main battery - 3x2 510 mm.
Firing range - 26.6 km. Dispersion at this range - 272 m.
Sigma – 2.10.
Maximum HE shell damage – 8100. Chance to cause fire – 40%. HE initial velocity - 720 m/s.
Maximum AP shell damage - 19400. AP initial velocity - 720 m/s.

Orkan is the former British destroyer Myrmidon, given to the Polish fleet. Orkan's main strength in the game is her main caliber guns. Ägir is a big cruiser with the same hull as Siegfried and armed with 9 305-mm guns. so what happen to Siegfried? up tiered >> X ?

Quote

SMS Ägir[a] was the second and final member of the Odin class of coastal defense ships (Küstenpanzerschiffe) built for the Imperial German Navy. She had one sister ship, Odin. Ägir was named for the norse god, and was built by the Kaiserliche Werft Danzig shipyard between 1893 and 1896. She was armed with a main battery of three 24-centimeter (9.4 in) guns. She served in the German fleet throughout the 1890s and was rebuilt in 1901–1903. She served in the VI Battle Squadron after the outbreak of World War I in August 1914, but saw no action. Ägir was demobilized in 1915 and used as a tender thereafter. After the war, she was rebuilt as a merchant ship and served in this capacity until December 1929, when she was wrecked on the island of Gotland.

I am curious on how do you (WG) plan to balance 510 mm?

Current T10 ships could not withstand this "monstrosity".

(Maybe the found a warehouse where there are spare 460 mm, menat for the Shinano, and mounted it on Yashima. As the 510 mm is still in development.) :Smile_hiding:

If they plan to up tier her, they will need to buff her. She will be the second 380 mm ship at T10. (Bourgogne is the first.)

She could also still be at T9. Like Georgia and Missouri. And sell her as double bundle.

I am not sure if there is a 4 turret KM battle cruiser after the O-class. (Their predecessors, the P.E.F. and the Ersatz Yorck, have 4 turret configuration.) That could fit as T10 ships. Times 2, if they will have a 12 x 305 mm version and a 8 x 380 mm version. :fish_book:

The only difference between Azuma and Yoshino is torpedo armament.

But its only a suggestion. There might be more German paper ships in the archives. Just have to pay treat them beer.

and this case is about the guns 305 and 380

Azuma went down and Yoshino took the place, so maybe Siegfried go up and Agir take the place

Good point though.

But for 6 x 380 mm, she should be buffed, and have cruiser accuracy insted of BB accuracy.
As well as the reload speed (Armament mod not yet included).

It just feel uneasy with only 6 guns for a T10. But the 380 mm gun size counters the argument. I don't know. :Smile_unsure:

But then again, enter Yashima. 6 guns for a T10. 510 mm. :Smile_unsure::Smile_unsure::Smile_unsure: I don't know anymore. I will wait and see.

So once again, Wows has buffed/nerfed features of some tech tree ships because of meagre complaints by new battleship players whose pathetic, lamentable accuracy can't hit anything?  Apparently these BB players cannot land rounds on the Henry so they've nerfed its propulsion specs in order to pander to a minority.  Well what about the thousands of Henry IV owners who now find their Top Tier ships becoming less playable?  So now you are trying to manipulate us into buying your Super-Cruisers with 12 inch guns instead?  I will NOT buy anymore of your damned Premium ships.  Keep nerfing the tech tree ships and you will see your experienced player base shrink.

A reminder to the rest of the player base, Wows gave an undertaking that they would not alter the specifications of bought PREMIUM ships.  They have broken that promise time and time again.  If you think you are immune in your Premium ships, think again!
