3 year of playing and no one bother how did the ship captain know they are detected? This doesnt make sense at all.... This aspect of game mechanic is ruining the purpose of an ambush. But hell, the most weird thing is commander skill priority target. Compared to incoming fire alert, priority target is total. Bullsheet. At least in incoming fire alert, you know ship firing their artilery. There must be atleast 10 crew spotting 8 wind direction.

Some people speculate, some people just guessing, there is suspiciously few explanation about how did the captain know they are detected......

James Bond? Of course no way, it must be spy, JUST A REGULAR SPY..... The spy reporting back to your Fleet. The British is famous for their spy in WW2 ruining German plan all along.....

But here is the problem, if that the case..... Why not reporting the enemy ship position as well? We suspect that most of cool spy like James Bond attitude will be too much suspicious. Everyone will realize, the cool dude with tuxedo is the spy......

But what if?

Idiot looking, funny face and wearing normal sailor uniform.... No one realize he is the spy.... No one realize how smart is this guy in academy. This British dude could be the spy.....

So why not telling the enemy position?

HE IS SMART, he wont kill himself by your main gun.... So next time he can aboard another ship... Spying more....

But here is the problem, not every country is good at spy.... So what is the reason?

Yes, code breaker.... US is famous for their code breaking. When a ship captain spot enemy ship, they report it to higher ups. But the decode manage to get it. Of course it doesnt reveal enemy position and only know you are detected....

But here is another problem, not every navy have good code breaker. So what kind of explanation?

Yes, your eye didnt deceive you.... A Traitor... Bribe or blackmailed, A TRAITOR IS TRAITOR. They reveal about you being detected by it BUT not fool enough to be killed by giving of his position. The German and Italy is famous for doing this. Especially in Italy, the Navy survive by betray its Ally.... Joining the Allies and establish the Mafioso, ruining the while America in fiasco.... Also Spaghetti is not PASTA

But if that case, its too niche and not generally what happened.... Also spy and traitor is undependable and unreliable. Not only their number small, but the chance of double agent exist.

The captain ultra instinc, if you look carefully at Wiki warship every commander posses this skill, even the level 1.... Its the main requirement of becoming the ship commander.

But other possibilty exist...

They must be stand user, feeling the other stand user presence. That is why we have weird unrealistic commander skill. The Legendary commander possess weird ability, for example Yamamoto could Heal its ship even without repair party..... The French captain is even more weird, the more you try to sink his ship..... It become faster

It must be work of someone Stando da!

It’s simple. Captain has some sort of sixth sense, so they know when they’re being watched. And if practiced, they know how many.

Maybe they’re some sort of Jedi?

Makes more sense than Expert loader.

How is it, that it’s faster to take a fully loaded gun and switch ammunition, than it is to load ammunition from the start? You are literally doing more work in half the time. (Unless I don’t understand how loading works).
