Some notes before getting in the line itself:

Only Tier 5 and higher because low tiers have too many designs to choose and I don’t care about T1 to 4 anyway…

In this line, I try to avoid adding any “clone” design to make a very unique line. However, clone ships are somewhat unavoidable in multi-national ship lines.

If a tier has 2 or more ships, that’s normal. I have to include the alternatives, even if I don’t like those designs. The first ship of each tier is my preferred pick, then the alternative(s), if any.

Please pay a visit to a slightly relevant thread: >>> EVERYONE GETS A FLETCHER!!! <<<

Consumable gimmick:

Feel free to suggest your own.

All ships have Smoke and Engine Boost like any other DD line.

T8 and up have Passive Directional Radar and Passive Sonar in the same slot.

Passive Directional Radar: detect all enemy ships (minimap only) in a radius of 7 km within your field of view. So you have to turn your head around. Since this is only for the minimap, it's not that overpowering.

Passive Sonar: this kind of Hydro is always active, but you can activate it (limited number of uses). This Hydro can detect all torpedoes (and only torpedoes) within 3 km radius. Activating this consumable will allow you to detect ships, in addition to the ‘passive’ effect of detection torpedoes. After the active duration, the Hydro will be completely offline for 1 minute.
Number of ‘active’ uses: 2
Duration: 80 seconds
Ship detection: 5 km

TECH TREE SHIPS:

Tier V

ADMIRALEN

The Netherlands

Quote

Displacement (ton): 1.316 (standard), 1.640 (full)

Primary armament: 4x1 120 mm (6s)

Torpedoes: 2x3 533 mm torpedo tubes

Speed: 36 knots

Aircraft: 1 float plane, but no catapult (lol).

Opinion: Very British-ish design, similar to the in-game Acasta. Based on HMS Ambuscade. Carrying an aircraft *gasp*

Tier VI

REGELE FERDINAND-CLASS

Romania

Quote

Displacement (ton): 1.422 (standard), 1.880 (full)

Primary armament: 5x1 120 mm (6s)

Torpedoes: 2x3 533 mm torpedo tubes

Speed: 37 knots

Opinion: not much so say, beside outgunning Gallant and Icarus and slightly faster.

Alternatives:

PSARA

Greece

Quote

Displacement (ton): 1.389 (standard), 2.050 (full)

Primary armament: 4x1 120 mm (8.6s-10s)

Torpedoes: 2x3 533 mm torpedo tubes

Speed: 38 knots

Opinion: built in Italy as member of Freccia/Dardo-class.

CHURRUCA-CLASS

Spain

Quote

Displacement (ton): 1.676 (standard), 2.205 (full)

Primary armament: 5x1 120 mm (6s)

Torpedoes: 2x3 533 mm torpedo tubes

Speed: 36 knots

Opinion: not much so say, beside outgunning Gallant and Icarus.

Tier VII:

GERARD CALLENBURGH-CLASS

The Netherlands

Quote

Displacement (ton): 1.604 (standard), 2.228 (full)

Primary armament: 2x2 1x1 120 mm (6s)

Torpedoes: 2x4 533 mm torpedo tubes

Speed: 37 knots

Opinion: somewhat unique design. Twin turrets and stuffs.

Alternatives:

HURAGAN, Improved Grom-class

Poland

Quote

Blyskawica’s unborn half-sister(s) (cancelled when the war broke out). Most notable difference being heavier, this will have more HP than Blyska.

Displacement (ton): 2.214/2.470 (full)

Primary armament: same as Blyskawica.

Torpedoes: 2x3 533 mm torpedo tubes

Speed: 39 knots

Opinion: Tech tree version of Blyskawica! Citizens, rejoice! Your Lord and Master sta- Oh, wait, what am I typing…

Tier VIII:

HOLLAND-CLASS

The Netherlands

Quote

Displacement (ton): 2.185 (standard), 2.642 (full)

Primary armament: 2x2 120 mm Bofors FTW turrets (<2s)

Speed: 32 knots

Opinion: Friesland, but slightly weaker – less HP and slower.

Alternative:

NIKI/DOXA, Gleaves-class (US)

Greece

Quote

Gleaves-class is a destroyer class between Benson and Fletcher-classes in the US DD development line. In-game example is T8 Pan-Asian tech tree ship, Hsienyang.

Opinion: clone ships. Not a fan. Had to include anyway.

Tier IX:

ÖSTERGÖTLAND-CLASS

Sweden

Quote

Displacement (ton): 2.150 (standard), 2.600 (full)

Primary armament: 2x2 120 mm Bofors FTW turrets (1,5s)

Torpedoes: 1x6 533 mm torpedo tubes

Speed: 35 knots

Opinion: Friesland, but with torpedoes. Somewhat lighter, but the torps may compensate for it. Not feeling good about putting a ship this modern at T8 either.

Alternative:

LEPANTO-CLASS, US Fletcher-class

Spain

Quote

US Fletcher-class. There are 4 in the game: Fletcher, Black, Chung Mu, Kidd.

Opinion: clone ships. Not a fan. Had to include anyway.

Tier X:

HALLAND-CLASS

Sweden

Quote

Displacement (ton): 2.670 (standard), 3.344 (full)

Primary armament: 2x2 120 mm Bofors FTW turrets (1,5s)

Torpedoes: 1x3 and 1x5 533 torpedo tubes

Speed: 37 knots

Opinion: another Swedish big lolibote. Stronk. Big and modern. To avoid confusion with Holland at T8, the ship would take the name of one member – Småland, Lappland or Värmland. The latter two weren’t even completed, so they may have some weird things about them.

PREMIUMS:

Tier V

VIFOR-CLASS

Romania

Quote

Displacement (ton): 1.620/1.790 (full)

Primary armament: 3x1 152 mm guns (!!!)

Torpedoes: 2x2 457 mm torpedo tubes

Speed: 34 knots

Opinion: One hundred fifty-two millimeter guns. This ship would not make it in Tier 5 if not for her displacement LOL

Tier Unknown:

Information for this “class” is from Conway’s Fighting Ships.

Oquendo-class, as designed

Spain

Quote

Displacement (ton): unknown

Primary armament: 4x2 105 mm DP

Torpedoes: 1x3 and 2x2 torpedo tubes

Speed: 39 knots (?)

Tier: VII

Oquendo-class, as built

Spain

Quote

Displacement (ton): 3.005 (full)

Primary armament: 3x2 127 mm DP

Torpedoes: only ASW torpedoes

Speed: 32,5 knots

Tier: VIII

Roger De Lauria-subclass (?)

Spain

Quote

Displacement (ton): 3.785 (full)

Primary armament: 3x2 127 mm DP

Torpedoes: only ASW torpedoes

Speed: 31 knots

Tier: IX

Tier IX:

JACOB VAN HEEMSKERCK, Tromp-class frigate

The Netherlands

Quote

Displacement (ton): 4.783 (full)

Primary armament: 5x2 102 mm guns

Speed: 32,5 knots

Opinion: all-gun flotilla leader. The guns are British so they will have good RoF. Her sister ship is a cruiser though.

We already have a line that can do most thing : Grozovoi which cover most bases beside the terrible camo.

Highly suggest that they give the line Airborne Warning Radar , which instead of improving DPS , give it more AA range and a solid AA but not overpowering. That way it could be a gimmicky escort dd that provide safe AA and fire support ship.

Or alternatively , allow it to mark target , which force a ship to be visible longer with a tracking consumables for atleast long as  there is unbroken line of sight. This will be unique in that it is less effective against camping target , but extremely punishing for long range moving spammers who park their ship not behind cover.

Oquendo Class according to Command Moder Naval / Air Operations.

I like this game when searching things, because it also as selective as Wiki when gathering information.

Data without a proof will be straightly rejected. Not saying it is error proof but, at least effort has been made.

Just treat this as another "disputed" data or something. The one shown here probably the latest retrofit of the ship.

If the data shown there is correct, mark 32 isn't Gearing's gun.

http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WNUS_5-38_mk12.php

mark 32 known to be used at Yorktown, Essex class CV, the later version is at Alaska.

While Sumner and Gearing using mark 38.

Even the mark 32 mod 0, the lightest of them, the weight of the twin enclosed base ring mount is 4.6 ton heavier than mark 38.

Torps, idk her original torp armaments. I doubt those smoll  and short ranged anti sub torps are fit for WoWs.

I'm a bit boring so i went a bit research.

Maybe there would be different versions of the class? From Conway's Fighting Ships, I read that the original plan is 4x2 105 mm and 7 torpedo tubes. The completed ships have 3x2 127 mm and only ASW torps.

Will have to edit the OP.

Yeah, maybe.

Set it aside, about the list.

Interesting options, although i personally don't like 120mm or lower guns as it would need IFHE. It has a lot of Dakka with it however.

DD with plane would be interesting.

JACOB VAN HEEMSKERCK need special penetration just like IJN 100mm.

VIFOR at T5 is OK, T6 Gaede i'll put in comparison.

She has 1 less gun than Gaede, anyway.

Also she's against "strong" CLs at T5 if gun is the only concern.

150mm and 152mm doesn't differ too much in terms of penetration.
