German cruiser Mainz, Tier VIII:

- Increased the armor thickness of main battery turrets:
- - frontal armor plate from 30 to 80 mm;
- - upper armor plate from 20 to 35 mm;
- - side armor plates from 20 to 32 mm;
- Air resistance coefficient was decreased for armor piercing and high explosive shells from 0.3307 to 0.29;
- Krupp value for armor piercing shells was increased from 1852 to 2300.

Other:

Italian cruiser Gorizia, Tier VII:

- Reload time of Exhaust Smoke Generator is lowered from 240 (180) to 210 (140) s;
- Parameters of Hydroacoustic Search are changed:
- - Action time increased from 100 to 120 s;
- - Torpedo detection range increased from 3.5 to 4 km;
- - Ship detection range increased from 5 to 6 km.

Changes to consumables will make Gorizia more interesting to play and will highlight her main difference to the researchable Italian cruisers - Hydroacoustic search, compensating the lack of torpedoes.

British cruiser Bedford, tier VIII:
Main battery reload time increased from 11 to 12 s.

British cruiser Drake, tier IX:
Main battery reload time increased from 14 to 15 s.

British cruiser Goliath, tier X:
Main battery reload time increased from 15 to 17 s.

These changes are made as part of the initial balancing phase of the ships.

Italian unique historical commander Luigi Sansonetti:

- The "Scorched by Fury" talent is changed. It will be triggered upon obtaining the Confederate achievement rather than High Caliber, and will increase the reload speed by 15% rather than 5%.

The trigger for the talent was changed because the High Caliber achievement was easier to get in Ranked Battles than in Random Battles (due to smaller size of teams in Ranked Battles). The Improved reload speed brings Sansonetti in balance with other unique commanders.

Please note that the information in the Development Blog is preliminary and subject to change.

Though the bow and stern plating nerf (not sure whether there would exist a 27-mm bow armor belt strip) remains, it is glad to see these major buffs towards Mainz.

They decrease hull and belt armor thickness and now increase turret armor thickness. This ship is no longer the original paper ship as designed.

Since her shells arch's shes most likely an island hugger and not an aggressor.

This turret armor increase means that her turrets always gets knocked out easily.

Since they are still in development, for now I will not comment.

But, remember the last minute nerf for the Italian cruisers that made them rust in port.

I hope WG remember they are supposed to release Siegfried and Hayate some times in the future.

They're either the new function called Shipbuilding, otherwise they're probably more like Researchable ships per month, not FXP, not even NTC.

FXP and Coal or Steel.

Seigfried is FXP. Unless they change her to a BB class.

I think P. Rico is Steel, so Hayate maybe sold for coal?

It's obvious how they are gonna be released. My question is when. I hope that WG aren't forgetting those two ships. Like they forget about Legendary Upgrades.

They forgot the project and developed for the Submarines.

Probably during the submarine event. They did made a big hype about German commanders and submarine during their event. 🙂

Meinz or Odin "may be or could be" final directive prize. (I could be wrong)

They should also take the time to buff German ships while they are at it.

I am looking forward to the Mainz. My roster is missing a high tier German cruiser (no I am not interested in Prinz Eugen, I am satisfied with my KC version though :fish_cute_2:)

Well the hull still need buff as they've put it now the turret is Nuremberg's equal so why the hell might as well just get a perma camou for Nuremberg ... Hey its not having so many guns but also its smaller and faster and more manouverable ...  Mainz suppose to be hybrid and now its just a CL with oversized hull asking for more incoming fire. Now what about the Hayate ...

That's a pretty broad timeframe so you might be lucky
