Just like the video that told us how NOT to play Italian Cruiser.

I'm offended and i am playing a Pineapple thin crust with no Mozzarella and Puree Tomato pizza , Especially Genova? More like GeNOcide if you asked me.

On the plus side, I figured out how to maximise damage done in co op for these cruisers.

1. Charge forward

2. Take care of DDs with SAP and help from fleet

3. Smoke up

4. Get close to larger ships and torpedo

5. Ram

6. Wait for team to kill everything else

Only if you are playing with a wg bot team backing you up. Otherwise most human combos leave you to die at this point.

PS. I haven't touched these pieces of stale pizza for more than a week.

Step 7. Finish objectives and missions and not touch these things again.

Maybe I will in the future, who knows. I’ve got like... 9 other T10s to unlock first, then the French DDs, then maybe the pizza boats.

If we’re lucky, WG may balance them a bit before then.

Some ships still acceptable RoF are

T5 until 8 all other rubbish 20 sec reload

U forgot the most important thing, CVs everywhere everyday

Yeah, but co op cvs stupid and won’t blind drop. And using smoke while charging forward allows you to get close enough without being seen, so long as you don’t fire.

Italian cruisers and their special SAP ammo are like sardines on a pizza,

 

like a fish out of water.

You would think maybe just maybe I'd get a free tech tree ship from the worst weakest most pathetic line yet spawned by WG, in a free event container, but geNOva.

My take they just do not know how to or they cannot actually balance SAP .. its showing already border on too OP against DD and CL but they had also shown to be consistently inconsistent and ineffective against CB / BB and some CA and that's even against lower tier ones. I can understand WG's aim to create the opposite of a machine gun in the form of a heavy hitting but slow reloading shell , but that both are beyond balanced now .. too much against light force, too little against the heavy one ...

IMHO the whole mechanism / damage value / reload need to be revamped all of them .. right now I wager the major culprit is the penetration value .. its a SAP, it could ricochet, OK that's fine, but its a SAP it should penetrate more than like caliber HE , and SAP ( in real life ) had less dynamite / effective warhead than HE, and its fused differently ( cause they want it to actually pen before detonating )  the greater damage it done is due to it exploding after penetrating not because it had a larger warhead .. taken all these into consideration the SAP should be tweaked to had more penetration, faster reload, but lower the damage and made it having a fuse depth that require certain depth before it actually arm and if it do not arm on a hit that hit should be a total dud ( zero damage ) to carry along that all or noting approach
