Ricochet SFXs are missing on 3 patches

I miss that sound when the enemy AP shells go ricochet on your battleships or cruisers and hear *Ding* *Boing* *Doink*  it also feels Satisfying that the AP Shells bounce your Superstructure and such.

 

Anyone noticed that its sound has been Absent/Added  about 3-4 patches later?

Now that you mention it, yes. No ricochet sounds.

Also, when playing some DD or CL, the "spent cartridge hitting the floor" sound is also missing.

It also used to be present in Igor, Charleston,  St. Louis, Dane, Emerald, Exeter. Now its gone.   ☹️

Before Pre-0.8.7, most of the Ricochet sounds can be heard, including a Car crashed into a Wall, and yeah, i want to sent a ticket that they for got the RICOCHET sound effects :(

Old Bounce SE also missing for like long time already.

you used to be able to see, shell get bounced and splashed into water. *with light streak and sparks

 

thats like the era before british cruiser. I think

Ah those. Like I said, while in game I kinda don't pay attention to unimportant things. Is it completely missing or has it been drowned out in the recent sound patch? I do know the recent sound patch screwed things around.

WG must be cutting corners. Sacrificing quality over content.

It is OK to have better, improved, and up-to-date sounds and programming.

They should test it properly and not mess up more than what they intend to create.

 

Not to mention every time they update, there are major bugs on every single one of them. If not visual, its the audio. If not the audio, its the game performance. Especially the recent one where the game still runs after exiting. It is definitely an API bug. Not our GPU.

Their quality is not as good as 2018.

That is the consequence of rushing things and not focusing on quality. Or somebody must be sleeping on the job, lying their quality test reports, cutting corners, adding last minute changes without manager approval or sign off, and a whole lot more of excuses that I can think of.

 

Unless they are experimenting on transitioning from Direct X to Vulkan. 🤔

Too much communize. Too much cost cutting. Robot. No color. No flavor. No individuality. 😞

If, they will continue to improve, I will let it slide. But for now, I not happy.

Implemented too quickly, without proper quality testing.

WG is pretty much good at everything except 3 things (or maybe more?):

  1. Fixing things. From the recent patches, I rarely sees any major fixes. It mostly just big fixes. And even then some new bugs will be carried out in the new patch. In this matter I have two concern. It's WG that's too lazy on fixing things, or they just don't have some professional teams.
  2. Balancing. With the recent additions of OP Russian ships such as Slava (not yet added) and Smolensk. These two ships are considered to have a big potential to shift the balance. And there's more regarding balances.
  3. Checking everything inside a patch before officially released.
  4. (Add it yourself.)

I would rework things and say the good things because there are less to say. Wg is pretty much good at:
1. Extracting money out of players.
2. Implementing unneeded concepts.
3. The Nile.
4. "Spreadsheets"

Hope either the staff is listening, since much  Old sounds are missing on 0.8.7 and patches as of today.

At those old version, If you near that you can get hit by Ricochet lol

and Aircraft wreck that shoot down and fall on your ship, actualy deal damage

Lots of minor details got removed lol

Which is really disaponting. It is like loosing 1 of your senses.

Sight and sound is really helpful. Especially when dealing with a lot of infomation and input during combat.

Now it is just sights. Sound is not reliable now.

In the end you will still relay on sights, which takes up a time to process and adjust when you are in a tight situation.

The worse thing is sometimes the sound does not play or get overlap by voice over, by the time you realize you were hit, it is too late. 😞

 

When you hear the ricochet, you just either laugh or shrug it off and continue the battle without worry. Now you have to check your HP pool if you got hit or not.

 

Also, I want those spent cartridge sound. So satisfying to hear. "Kling! Klong! Pong!" or "Pring! Prong!"
