Friesland build?

I'm thinking either a standard DD hunter gun build:

PT
LS, AR
SE,  BFT
CE,  RL

or full pyromaniac

PT
LS
SE, BFT, DE, SI
CE

Thoughts?

I haven't gone for either of those builds.  Firstly I'd like a bit more range than the stock 12.3km, the shells are quite comfortable (same shell arcs as Daring's 113's and Lightning's 120's) and the guns have a superb fire chance, so I want the ability to burn BB's at range as needed.  The next issue is that it's a ship built around it's consumables, so this is one of the rare occasions where I think SI is necessary.  It's a gunboat with one of it's primary functions being hunting other DD's, so SE and CE are mandatory.

Given all this I've gone for PT, AR/LS, SE/SI, AFT/CE.  Shell flight times to the max range of 14.8km are 15.8s, which is pretty much the limit of usability (at stock range of 12.3km the flight times are 11.2s).  It doesn't take BFT, so the reload is 1.6s rather than the max possible of 1.4s.  I am going to play it for a while and see if three consumables each is adequate, in which case I'll probably drop SI for BFT, and that's about the only thing I'd leave to personal preference in this build.  The rest of it seems pretty mandatory.

Only have a 10pt atm but ive been killing every DD or even 2 of them at T9-10 in duels, Benhams, Kitakazes, Yugumo, Tashkent, only ones that are tougher are Gearing and Daring. But not lost a duel so far and have managed to avoid all torps.

PM, EM, BFT and CE

12.3 on the range, 6.4 concealment and 1.4 on reload.

you have 95% the DPM of a darling and better hydro lul, just spec the same as it and you'll be fine

Can someone please put range mod and AFT on the Friesland. your crippling karma will be worth it for science

or maybe loading mod? even better. with BFT, AR of course

With AFT and range mod Friesland has a 17.2km range.  This gives a 21.5s flight time at max range, which is basically unusable on anything but stationary targets.  Take either AFT or range mod, but not both.

I ended up with only a 13 point captain as I was buying him up from 3 points using elite commander XP.

I took the range mod in slot 6, and PT, Ls, SE +BFT, CE.
I plan to get DE and SI over time.
So far, it works well.

xD well I see why you wouldn't but still it would be great to see. hmm whats the max range for khaba? THAT would take arson to a new level

it'll make Wooster shell flight times look like a joke

PT, PM

AR, LS

SE, BFT, SI

IFHE

Don't waste 4 point on CE you are a gun boat better off going with IFHE to increase pen from 19mm to 25mm.
