Can confirm that I got the codes as well.

My activity dipped for about 1 to 2 weeks, had 8 days in a row where I didn't login. That might have been the trigger.

I thought about posting these but recruiting station seems to offer a better deal to new players than this.

Recruiting station doesn't allow you to submit extra codes when registering. I would assume you can't use an invite code after already having created an account.

Could someone tell me whether these codes could stack with recruiting station?

Nothing for me.  I'm not sure there was even a pattern for who received them.  I know of several very active players who got them so it wasn't for players to return to the game.
