I dont know what happened to AA in the recent update, but I cant prioritise a sector anymore, and my AA on ships is complete trash.

If anyone could help me, it would be much appreciated

yeah but when I press O, it prioritises a sector, and then unprioritized that sector

When you press O, AA on the side that you're looking at will have a burst of damage to all enemy aircrafts in AA range. During that time, your AA damage in that side will increase. When the duration is over, there would be a cooldown until you can deal that burst damage and increased damage again.

Basically the mechanic got changed. That's all.

The Priority AA system changed as of 22/08/19 with Patch 0.8.7

https://worldofwarships.asia/en/news/game-updates/update-087-french-destroyers-part-2/

Its now an instant damage burst (designed to kill as many planes as possible, especially damaged ones), followed by damage slowly increasing over time, followed by a short period of increased AA on that sector, followed by a cooldown period before you can use it again.

This means you must wait until enemy aircraft are in range of you AA guns to activate if you want any effect, It’s no longer ‘set and forget’.
