It is from the first half of the French event.

Basically if you have enough tokens to buy the prerequisite bundles, you unlock the ability to gamble for early access to the Mogador.

Each roll of the dice costs 1,000 doubloons.

But unlike previous gambling mechanics where you pay first, roll the dice and see what you get, in this one you roll first, see what you get, then decide whether to pay the 1,000 doubloons to claim the drop. But if you don't like your roll, you still need to pat 1,000 doubloons and claim the drop before you are allowed to try again.

The OP rolled the Mogador on the first attempt, so all he needs to do to claim it would be to pay 1,000 doubloons.

I had the same thing happen, 1st roll, 1000 dubs & a Mogador! I was only going to roll once anyway as I'd had crap luck with both purchased & earnt crates in this event till then. I think I must have opened about 40 crates with zero DDs. Didn't actually believe it till I went back to port & saw it sitting there! My luck continued, 1st outing in it, 4 kills including a double strike!
