A disappointing Narai

I was reaching my personal best: 250k dmg in Narai. A lot of flags were used. But before I could  enjoy an almost certain big win...

All enemy was down except for a Colorado. All friendlies were gone as well except for one guy in a near full health sinop about 3km from the Colorado. 5+min game time left and Colorado was half health

what the Sinop did? He stopped and waited there.

i don’t think he was AFK because of 2 reasons:

1. He stopped. AFK player would have continued course and speed

2. His secondaries were off

it was such a waste. I don’t understand this guy’s intention. He did come out last in terms of XP earned. Was he killing a winning but worst performing game just to get the 100% bonus xp in the next game?

i reported him afterwards.

Find a division on "Operations" chat. They're far better than random. Just copy the boxbox+ it's either "Nalai+" or "Aegis+". You can google translate it to make sure.

I remember a somewhat similiar case of a failed Narai monthes ago, in which the last surviving member of our team, happened to be also a Sinop, behaved too "bravely" instead. With only that Sinop and the enemy Colorado remained floating besides those Assault Transports, that player seems to misunderstood the situation and decided to perform a ramming attack on that Colorado, despite already being in an advantageous bow-on position, perhaps wanted to finish her off as quickly as possible.

Than the guy commanding the Sinop performed a successful ramming attack. Both the Sinop and the Colorado was sunk by the ram, however, as the Sinop was the last player surviving in our team, we lost because of all human players were destroyed at the same time when we accomplished our primary goal.

Probably.

Had a similar thing happen yesterday in Randoms.

Team was losing badly because they didn't know how to get out of spawn. Team had lost all 3 caps so my Yukikaze had to yolo rush a Des Moine that was camping A cap, while a friendly Alaska was pushing up behind me. I managed to sink the DM, but the Alaska was out in the open and being fired upon by at least 2 ships, with 1 being a BB, so I laid smoke for him. But after that he just sat in the smoke. He didn't try to turn away or anything. So I thought perhaps he is just waiting it out in the smoke, but then I noticed his guns were pointing backwards at our spawn, not at the enemy ships. He sat there not moving until the smoke dissipated and he was sunk.

He probably thought he was going to die and just went afk since he were losing. Or maybe he his computer crashed. But I thought it was funny because his guns were pointing at our spawn. It was as though he looked back at where his teammates were, saw they were still in the spawn, and went "screw this team I am out". Actually we ended up winning that match due to a combination of the enemy team throwing and me getting lucky and devstriking the last enemy DD with predictive torps, leaving me the sole DD in that game and thus free to cap and torp everything since there were no more DD or radar threats.

No. You shouldn't. It can be that Sinop's player just unintentionally disconnected from the game.

And speaking about operation disappointments, I feel like tier 6 has a lot more of those "newbies."

His secondaries should still be active, unless he took the Manual Secondary skill and dc'ed before he had a chance to set them.

If you want something done, go do it YOURSELF. Seriously this Op is so easy but people just *camp snipe* for maximum meme. ( and some dumb noob playing SInop just love to snipe )

Playing too much of "random mindset" make people really really noob when i will never ever stop my rush .

Why snipe? 9x giant super accurate shells at point blank range is hilarious.

Only danger is torpedos, and getting caught broadside, both of which are easy enough to avoid with a bit of planning and positioning.

Defense port is definitely the most difficult to get 5 stars. We need balancing!

Try the two ships at T6 with 406mm and 410mm guns, West Virginia 1941 and Mutsu.

But there are a lot of 406mm or 410mm ships at T7.

Nagato, Ashitaka, Colorado, Sinop, Nelson.

My Dude of Yokes is a great ship to play in Narai. Citadelling even US standard type BBs... I may not use AP that much in Random with her but in Narai the AP work wonders.

...I want to hoard Steel to buy a Flint... just for the dakka dakka... ...dakka dakka...

I enjoy Narai in CL better though it could be tough when facing Missouri and that first wave in the inner zone ; one tactic with CL is intentionally placing yourself in line of fire towards the Missouri ; it will always fire upon Cruiser even if there is DD or BB even more close up ; that; stay within heal circle of convoy and now tank it one can create condition for team DD to close in and for BB to broadside without worry of being so in return. At the cost of usually losing half of the health but those can be healed before reaching inner zone and this made most ships taking the center route still healthy enough to tank that initial wave better. Its a tactic that require some coordination but I found it working consistently so.

Mutsu suffers from wonky Type 88 AP shells as a measure of balance I remember, even though the calibre itself enabled widespread overmatch.

Sinop and Ashitaka combined reliable 16-inch main battery with decent mobility. A Colorado or Nagato can only follow the convoy as escort, but a Sinop or Ashitaka can risk branching off and ambush the Lexington, then return to the bay bow-on in time.

How to fail ??? >>

Wrong position + wrong ship

Wrong timing, brawl too soon and fall to the trap

Never read the manual :fish_palm:

And Nelson’s HE shells wreck DDs, burn BBs, often better against CLs than AP because it doesn’t overpen or maybe that’s just my aim.

But AP still best against broadside BBs.

And her zombie ability is fun as hell.

“Three fires? Hah, you think that’ll stop me!”

What about Gneisenau in Narai beside being a glorified secondary gun platform?

Oh the curse of having 6 inaccurate main guns.

You have to expect different levels of players, same with lower tier random games. So, just play the best that you can...and learn to bite your lip once in while. :cat_bubble:
