I miss RTS CVs

I'm just saying what everybody else is thinking. 

Anyone who has:

- cross dropped a DD with torpedo bombers

- landing 2 full flights of kaga torpedo bombers on a stationery BB (12 torpedo hits with devasating strike) 

- saving the team when we are 3 ship vs 9 enemies (with kraken unleashed and high calibre) 

- de-planing the enemy CV

definitely misses them RTS CVs.

You missed 201 Bogue and 311 Ryujo.

AS Bogue is aft crabzodiacsign.

When CVs in Ops and Coop pose actual threats.

When deleting enemy CVs at the start of the match to establish a totalitarian regime.

When CVs acted as OP as historically correct (Even I do not want this).

 

When CVs made BBs group up near their cruisers for AA protection and Musashi actually had hard counters, unlike whatever the heck it is now.

Hmmm.

On the downside, I enjoy sitting in my BB, away from cruisers because they’re all hiding behind island, and NOT getting dev striked.

On the upside, because so few players played the old mechanics, it would mean less CV games.

On the downside, current version of AA makes fewer people play CV so the change would only get me dev striked more.

On the upside, I could play Ryujo in ops again.

Yeah, nah, I’ll leave this debate to you guys.

Sure, I like the amount of times I saw a CV in battle from RTS days (hardly ever).

By then RTS CVs will probably have been brought back and removed again, and the game will be introducing the new Russian Submarine tree, which can blow up a ship from the other side of the map, and we will yearn for the days when we only complained about CVs.

That reminds me of those days when most CV players were racing to T10 before CV rework was implemented because they could exchange the unlocked old CVs for about half a million Free XP for each line. Musashi, and almost all IJN ships in particular were free real estates back then.

I remember in old economy, T10 CV that de-Planned pay hefty cost of repair fee

its like almost - 300K credit. if They only do meager damage its like -200K+ credit every game

Well yeah I can't deny that CV issue is one of the most sensitive topics in whole WG community and as an administrator, I should save my words to avoid any unpleasant cases.

There's a possibility that some players might misunderstand my personal opinion as the company's official statement... so I've kept watching this thread and taken some notes to report.

Ahhh... still remember my crappy GZ (3 days on sale during release then scrap for a while because of rush release date) with delayed DB drop

Play CV straight hunt for "careless" enemy CV and boom them out of game in the matter of minutes

Listening to people complaining playing 9 squadron at the same time in IJN CV

So many old memories..

No.. not because of OP ships, it just need people with accumulated amount of experience (and OC brain) of playing to master the way of RTS
