Come on WG, we are sick of this garbage. There is literally no excuses to have such a stacked MM.

For every MM like that you'll get decent MM.  All you can do is play your best, try and win, then save your star if you don't.

Im sure it averages out, i was more pointing out it shoudnt be like that to start with.

That's the problem with ranked. I can't play to save a star. I just can't stop myself from trying to win. So like you I always end up getting thrown back so much by them.

Well, they would have queued at the same time.

MM does not take clans or skills into consideration.

Blame MM/WG if that makes you feel better, but it's like blaming a dice.

Pretty sure thats exactly what I did didnt I? 

Whole point of this thread is im annoyed at the flawed MM, particularly in ranked as 7v7 makes it a lot worse.

Have a look at autopilot in action. The rudder doesn't start to return to position until the ship is pointing to the destination. This means it always overturns. This sums up all of WG programming, shortsighted. No ability to code correctly or no ability to calculate a formula.

Even an old 2007 game like Command and Conquer Kanes Wrath had an inbuilt MM that matched players of similar skills, like I said, no excuse for it to be like this and the BS excuse of "waiting times" really doesnt hold water imo.

Yeah. I made a point in another post along the lines that if the new stuff is attracting new players then there must also be a lot of old players leaving because the numbers aren't increasing much overall. Can't help think that if they improved the things the old salt's say is wrong then more of them would stick around. This in turn would mean more active players so MM would have a larger pool and could be more selective without increasing wait times. However there is a flip side. If MM did match skill more then just how much would it even out the win rates? Meaning if we all got evened out to 50% MM would end up matching you with the same people anyways, just there would be less range in player wrs. Either way I am certain there is still plenty of room for improvement without too much effort (just a little bit of coding).

WG is just lazy and greedy. They are up there with EA imo. 

There will always be good and bad players no matter the MM so if the MM balanced (rofl) the teams it would work a lot better. Especially in ranked with the low team numbers.

But like I say, that wont make money and they are lazy.

You havnt noticed the stacking by now in 12 seasons of ranked and random games? 

Theres nothing random to the MM. Its so predictable after your first,second game in the evening. 

The dispersion on the specific ship your playing is also predictable after 2 games. 

In days like those. Take a break, you wont make any progress in ranked.

MM does take certain level of skills into consideration. The skill level of both team probably close when averaged, besides let's just say clan tag doesn't matter much, there's a lot of red players in hurricane clans too.

- first you can't make average skill level of your team different than enemy. This will make harder to get match, if you too good or too bad you will NOT meet other opponent in matchmaking, then you can't play the game.
- second if you play good you will face good enemy, basicly you get punished by playing good (because get to face harder opponent) your winrate will back to 50%

Yeah because that exactly what happens in other games with skill based MM doesnt it? If what you say is true then Blizzard is doing it wrong in SC2......

It doesnt have to be exact, just in the ball park would be nice. Or do enjoy getting a team full of noobs while the enemy has 6 hurricane players?

Most likely current ship played in that exact mode in that exact season while ignoring overall stats. No idea what they use for it but it's definitely not PR

This is a classic example why Carriers should not play ranked.

  • they do not play the objective
  • the crap players goto the corner of the map
  • how can a guy get to ranked 9 with 126 battles and 33 wins?
  • Easy play CV and don't lose a star
  • They expect you to carry them
  • look where the good CV player is
  • these guys are killing me
