I fail to see the CV problem, and a number of people will shortly back this up.

What I do see as a problem is that the matchups are horribly mismatched - 3 from huge atmospheric anomaly, a gale and 2 storms, versus a bunch of storms and squalls.

We could remove rentals because they don't contribute much.

The CV's was meant to be a side note, should've specified, my point was the storm klansmen,  who set up their positioning right and pushed and kited and all that other good stuff while I was stuck with a team who, while not horrible (I try but am certainly not anywhere near a good player) were not nearly competent enough to beat such a team consisting of no less than three purple ships and especially with the CV being one such player and having such a large impact on the game, practically set it all up for them with phenomenal spotting, targeting the dd's early on, eliminating the two ships that went to the 'A cap' and then the rest of the team smothered us in steel while we returned as best we could but I was pinned down the whole time by the Yamato to the front and the Bourgogne to the side constantly setting me alight and I couldn't move because, well, Yamato standoff. and so the game fell clearly and swiftly into the hands of the reds by the 5 minute mark

I am saying that the opposing team had a clear skill advantage over us that was beyond any optimistic hopes for our team and thus we were at a clear disadvantage even though WG has the stats and classes to make the teams even

Basically every other person (and their pet) plays it because it can "snipe safely from distance" to "save starts". Well, say hello to Mr. CV who is here to disrupt that meta. This is a perfect example of Well&Gamble correcting one problem with another instead of addressing the root cause. As long as they say it's legal, so be it.

Tbh i dont understand why WG only allows T 10 to play ranked.It spoils the experience of both good players who dont get capable team mates or the rental users who either get abused every game or die easy cause they suck in their new ships.

 I have 5 lines at T 8 and if i am allowed to play in those i am sure that i ll not be the guy who downs the team (though i am not good by any standard). 

The teams of random are below average to say the least and ranked has much better teams. So now i am stuck with a dilemma ... should i play rentals and risk looking like a potato or suffer through Random knowing Ranked will give me better teams...

honestly though why does WG only allow T 10s in ranked?

 

 

PS : Rentals sucking is understandable because they dont know the ship. But i still found ample straightlining BBs in ranked who supposedly earned those ships. Dont scapegoat us poor rentals 😞

The thing is Ranked, T10 is allowed most of the times. Every tier has a problem, esp. with premiums/freemiums.

In T7 it'll be Atlanta, Flint and Belfast and many other premiums. With some ARP Myokos sprinkled in.

T8 doesn't look too bad, not many "too good" premiums, no super cruiser. Sometimes you'd see an ARP Takao straightlining, but that's about all of it.

In T9 it'll be all the super cruisers, JB, Musashi.

 

There is no win-win in this, however, WG can just stop making T10 the Ranked tier most of the times.
