CV changes based on a few games (tier 6):

1. Aircraft speed changes have made quite an impact, causing me to need more care in regard to ship positioning. The big impact is AA effectiveness, though. Plane losses to tier 6 BBs heavy enough to make pre-dropping one flight compulsory.  I'm losing a LOT of planes to make an attack on tier 7 BBs and cruisers. Many tier 8 ships are now literally a no-fly zone.

2. Dive bomber changes require more precise aiming, but I can still hit DDs, if they're muppets. I would say hitting BBs and cruisers is actually a little easier, now - the reticle is narrower than the ship.

I can see AA being very challenging for the higher tier CVs.

Can you improve Soviet BB get more comfortable like others?

Generally they too bad accuracy salvo firing ,slugish main gun traversing , slow reloading(standard 28-30 sec) ,easy penetrable(too weaker same to British cruiser) when turn broadside 

and worst accuracy every range.

Since I have Tier 5 and Tier 6 I'm still not satisfied caused me stop to playing them. No matter how I tried it's impossible make it like a Yamato gameplay.

On May 23, your development blog suggested that the mod 8 torpedo planes of Hakuryu would be removed. But now in 0.8.4 on May 30, the mod is still there. I wonder if the changes made in PTS 0.8.4 on mod 8 torpedo planes are live or are they revoked?

They are t5 & 6, how can you expect yamato gameplay??

& since they are new ships, you shouldn't expect to be immediately comfortable in them, it takes time to find their character...

How do you make a line of ships designed for close engagements with a repair party designed for this to perform like a long rage sniper.   Its an unrealistic expectation.

 

You get these things in below the 8-10km range and the hits and damage are crazy

slugish main gun traversing -  They are meant to be nose towards enemy, you aren't doing a lot of traversing.

slow reloading(standard 28-30 sec) -  To compensate for the epic citadels they get, most likely - even I get citadels, and I'm rubbish at BBs.

I don't play Yamato, but I'm fairly sure it's a long range sniper, isn't it? These are the opposite to that: short range, nose-in brawler, was my understanding from the videos I watched before I played them.

So the reason behind CV nerf was "Spotting" and instead of actually coming with a reasonable solution to that, you guys nerfed "Speed Boost"??

Is straight up 90% when u in a DD rush towards a BB and launch 10torpedos  at point blank range, you will get this result.

Yamato also same sh*t... dead . if you cannot handle semi-brawling(not to mention close range BB Brawls)... dont need to make every line to suit your needs

Just stay playing conquerors and yamato with your range 😉

The speed nerf to Carriers are excessive to UP TIERED carriers and harsh on top tier carriers.

While it solve the problem of making top tier CV counterable by lower tier dedicated AA platform it makes same and higher tier AA platform virtually untouchable by planes.

The problem is AA is so strong that CV can't even attack these things at huge plane cost , but it become shot before the CV have a chance to strike back.

This nerf does NOT solve the problem of interaction between ships and planes. I highly recommend the team rework AA / plane survivability and consolidate gaps between tiers.

Right now + 2 is god mode while -2 is dead mode. The AA performance level is TOO FAR APART.

I suggest give speed boost a +5 knts and -5 knts more. Which should allow -2 CV a fighting chance against lone AA platforms.

I also suggest the devs look into seperation of AA and utility cruiser. Right now most cruisers get both and make it a hard counter to both dd and CV. It should hard counter only 1 of the 2 to create variation.

I have not played enough games with all my ships and setups to make a judgement but i have noticed some things like Improved Consumable Fighter plane actually taking down enemy CV planes. Fire prevention on RU BBs is a disaster. Just got the Sinop and in the few games the chances of enemy starting a Fire is like 70-90%. From 1 turret salvo 3 shells at me 2 miss and 1 land on the deck cause fire. 2nd turret salvo 3 shells at me 1 miss 2 hits another fire. Ship has all the fire prevention mods. Every hit is like a fire fire fire. I have to play more games and see if this is on going or its just that enemy has really high chance of causing fire. Its like a blow torch to a tub of butter. You dont last long with those repairs. Now being in a Cruiser and buddy up with another can take out these RU BBs with HE in under 2mins staying around the 12km range and bow 1st the RU BBs are toast with that long reload.

Okay, I don't know if this has been posted in regards to ranked battles but allowing rental tier 10's in it, I personally think it's a mistake on WG behalf same with clan battles allowing this cause you get players (new or on the rarity that it may be a old) Is that it makes my experience quite hard to enjoy cause you get them either not watching their flanks or not angling to bounce shells ect.., To me for the newer players they need more training before they are even allowed to use the rental boats cause i don't know if they are immediately allowed to use them once they've achieved the rank that unlocks (Random Battle mode), Not trying to be a douche but i personally think this needs working on more, Thanks.

CV still broken as crap yet you put it in ranked? Why?

Ranked star saving is STILL bullshit, dont you people ever listen to your player base?

Rental in ranked? Seriously? If they haven't earnt a t10 then why let them play it?

Can you please just get some of the basics right before you release more broke retarded crap into the game? A port that doesnt lag so hard would be a VERY good start!

The idea of TX ranked battle is sound. Theoritically players are more experienced, and because of the battle cost, it will only attract to those who are really prepared for it.  Also TX ships are more or less already 'balanced'.

That being said, please never add rental ships to ranked battle ever again. And don't say it's 'popular' based on the spreadsheet because the very existence of rental ships has a detrimental effect to other players. Give player a boost, incentive, or anything really, for them to grind to TX instead of just flatly giving them rental ships (could be an event, or special xp modifiers for T8 T9 ships weeks before ranked season begins).

I know this season's ranked battle is just an experiment, but it was done so poorly.

 

On the other topic, the port change is good.

All the other changes are meh/uninteresting.
