Let's Talk About Siegfried's Armament

As you are probably aware now, Siegfried is a tier 9 German Battlecruiser that have 6 380mm guns, yes, 6 guns. The Siegfried is based on the O-Class Battlecruiser from Plan Z.

We know 6 guns is bad, BUT If they make this ship accurate, I think no one will mind the amount of guns it have. *cough* Gneisenau

With 26 seconds reload on a cruiser will you think this ship worth buying?

Hey, it's the forum's certified resident German enthusiast - Paladinum! He already posted a thread about the ship. Here.

 

What he thinks:

- That reload time may not stay for very long if the accuracy proves to be ineffective. But the dispersion and sigma look mostly promising.

- He really doesn't like fact that WarGaming put a ship with 380 mm guns to be a "cruiser". Design 1047 would work better (3x3 283 mm), but from a historical standpoint, WG may want to reserve that ship for the Pan-EU instead (the Netherlands, to be precise).

- Other thoughts: he thinks that the turret traverse and speed are not good and need buffs.

- He's really, really into the name.

It will be a different approach that's for sure and I like that concept. 6 accurate guns with great alpha and overmatching capabilities sounds like a decent recepe. I would rather not see another conventional superceuiser tbh, considering I already have Alaska and Azuma is also available as a generic experience for those who wanna buy.

Personally, I'll be hoarding resources for: Siegfried, Hayate and Smolensk. Hopefully they'll come out in reasonable prices.

Yeah that is so true though... WeeGee have been playing around with Supercruisers so mich that we forget their are also regular cruisers in the game!!

Actually,I think that his 6 guns will make it get the lower maxmium damage and the higer minimum damage in the averge data in WG's potato

There is something I just love with tier 9 in WoT and WoWs. Probably the most underrated tier.

This ship is going to do what to a CV? or repel all planes? This brings nothing to the way the game is played. Just another ship to harass from the air. They should only bring out New CVs, these surface ships have no use anymore.

Yeah. I like some T9 ships more than the T10 for sure.
